You are blessed with much of water down there. Here in Illinois where i am just an inches of rain but it dries so quick, and never have one again in a few weeks. We need rain here in Illinois.

Thank you guys for exploring subic I would really go and check subic for it’s all new places to go there, because the last time I was there was about 38 years ago I was only 16 then, so it’s really a huge different now, by that time the base was still there.

Wow, last time I've been to subic when I was 10yrs old during summer. A lot has changed for sure. Id love to try those coffee shops there as well.
I always become anxious of the stop & go rules whenever we go through Subic on our way to the beach. Hehehe. I was wondering if you'll be able to have beach vlog soon since you are in the area... looking forward to your next vlogs. Ingat always. ^_^
If you drive up on the mountains for a bit, you'll see wild monkeys and a bat tree (tree with lots of hanging bats sleeping). They're just on the highway on the way to Camayan beach Resort/Ocean Adventure. I also recommend the casitas room in Kamana Sanctuary Resort for a peaceful night.
I love seeing the spiral stairs within the tree, looks really nice!

There is discipline at Subic pedestrians are safe when crossing the street. Drivers obey traffic rules. Amazing!

I miss subic been there several times just for the outing and vacation. . the safari and ocean park is place to go ..Bat Caves and Nature reserve for camping and Hiking.. Specially the Beaches and Cove's they have a lot of Resort
Subscribe Bay was a former US naval base. It closed sometime in the early ‘90’s. My dad used to take me to air shows there in the ‘70’s watching the US Navy Blue Angels. I live in Canada now.

Agree with a few of the suggestions here to check out JEST Camp! The native Aetas teach jungle survival - I only did a half day trek and it was pretty challenging, but if you want a bigger adventure they also have an overnight trek! Enjoy your time in Subic!
I think Jest Camp is closed for the time being.. due to pandemic..

That airfield area used to be the US Naval Air Station. Sometimes 3 super carriers can dock jut off by the quay. Aerial military supplies can deploy their if not from Clark Air Base. The old Subic Naval base and Clark Air base were once the biggest non continental US military bases. Up in the hills used to be the club were you can shop or eat. Further hidden in the hills was the US Naval hospital. I don't know if the Aetas still lives there. I know they were given habitation rights and privileges there.

Since you guys love coffee, I suggest trying Holy Grounds near Yellow cab by the bay side. You should also should try Meat Plus's Rum cake!
For Korean food, you should definitely try Ohnue (also known as Brother Sister Restaurant). It’s close to Royal grocery shop where you went to have lunch at Gourmet Garage.
Lots of Korean places in Subic but Ohnue is definitely the best & most authentic!
If you visit Angles try the Amand coffee shop its a good place to have coffee and enjoy the view .
Try these restos - ralis, vascos. Visit grande island.

Driving there is different compared to driving in manila and there are some streets there, that has a first to stop, first to go which is kinda tricky. We have to go through there to go to our province.
Wow.. welcome to Subic.. if u wanna try Filipino Cuisines you can go to Cocolime, near the Harbour Point.. but if u want to enjoy Filipino Cuisines on a beach front.. then Dayrits (Located inside All Hands beach) is also a good place..

For the local resto here in olongapo these are some of the famous resto the coffee shop (but not a coffee shop well kmow for their tacos)and lapapagayo situated in barretto, whimpys and sams pizza in magsaysay and Ricos

I miss Subic. Been there in 1998 with my mom during their company outing. We stayed at Forest Hills Village but forgot the name of the beach we went to. Hoping to visit Subic again after ECQ, since I can drive now 😁 Stay safe Nelly and Mike!

Ocean Water there is vey freaking clean.they have white sand beach there...if your use the road in manila? Me,second time there.i feel paranoid because of the stop light...just like you said😂😆🤣

That tree is an Acacia tree! They are very old and slow growing and very strong. In strong winds like typhoons not a twig is broken! There is many of them in Pampanga and elsewhere in Luzon. They give nice shade on hot summer days too!
While in Subic, you should try dining at Coco Lime inside SBMA. Enjoy🤩

It's modern because your on a former Naval Base Subic and Naval Air Station Cubi Pt. I was stationed there for 6 years at Cubi Pt.

If you want to go to the beach, try Inflatable Island!! You can take many instagram worthy pics there and you can vlog your play at their inflatables! 😊
