The Rotel RB-1590 This amp in particularly exceptional reproducing bass, midrange and treble without any coloration to everything I've listened to.
In this video there are far from the shortcomings presented, therefore sorry if there are data deficiencies or errors.

The Rotel is a Beast of an amp but the Accuphase is just on another level. Corvette vs Lamborghini.

Should amplifiers be compared to cars?

Good video , but there is a slight mistake , the RC.1590 has 8 x 10,000 mfd total giving 40,000 mfd per side , not 176,000 mfd.

can someone tell me what you honestly get out of these monster amp models? like i can tell a difference between cheap and not so cheap, vintage under and new over-advertized output numbers and sound signatures... but honestly - what types of speakers you must be running at home to ever need one of these and what sound difference it makes? or is it all mostly bragging rites

You should know the use of amplifiers with high power, for outdoor areas, right? Dare I say the manufacturer will be able to make speakers with big power, say 1kW or 2 kW even more

Honestly. Those monster amps have some use when driving very critical speakers. As the watts more they will deliver, will help have a better grip on the woofers. For the rest of the market, it's simply a game of "who has the biggest".
But you can, generally, go around this problem with less critical speakers.
Normally, an individual will not be able to tell apart two power amplifiers when tested in blind AB comparison.

Paper specs does not tell you how an amp is going to sound. Some yrs back i bought a used accuphase just to see what the fuss was all about. However, after only 2 songs, i took it out of my setup & sold it. I don’t like its sound character. I find it a bit unnatural. Anyway, this is purely just my opinion. One of my friend loves Accuphase & have been using it for more than 30 yrs.

I would not jump the conclusion by just 2 songs. Maybe the setup is not suitable for that Accuphase or simply wrong at that time. Or maybe that used amp had an issue.

@@QQ-td9id perhaps but i am talking about sound character. We all know that every brand has its own unique sound character. Prior to buying that used accuphase i had listened to it many times at either showroom or friend’s plc so i already had a rough idea of its character. Its just that i wanted to confirm it by having it at home in my room with my speakers to double confirm. I had to buy it as nobody is going to lend me one to try at home. Accuphase is expensive stuff. I tested it in the shop & after ensuring that it was functioning perfectly before i dropped the cash. I don’t know about others but i usually only need to test a few tracks to determine if i like the sound character of a component. I don’t need days or weeks. For me, i just find that accuphase is unnaturally warm. And it had this golden tone or golden tinge to its tone which i don’t like. But i know many folks like this character otherwise accuphase would be out of business long ago. If u happen to like accuphase then good for u. Not for me though.
