I’m a convert, and I took the same philosophy as you about Mary. But recently I had to completely put my faith and trust in the Lord and I could feel the intercession of Mary. The calming loving hand. I felt peace come over me like never before. I began to faithfully pray the rosary daily. Have not missed a day and look forward to it daily, along with other devotionals. I know this is where I belong.
Luke 11:2 KJV - Pray to the Father. No one else. “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” Romans 8:34 KJV “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
Agree. As a former evangelical and now convert to the church myself I can say that one of the biggest hurdles coming into the church was Mary, her current role for the church, and in a more general sense, the intercession of the Saints. I can say that after nearly 2 years in the church, I may not have a full and complete understanding of this, but I’ve come to accept it and appreciate the role the Saints have to play in our lives. I’ve come to pray the rosary daily and have seen much from this practice in my life. The blessed mother certainly prays for us.
@@Spiritof76Catholic do you know what the word “convert” means? If you’re already a Christian how can you convert to Christianity? Its an offensive term and insult to those who are Christian because they simply are “changing” religions?
@@NP-vk8de Is this what you mean? In general terms we are all Christian’s who are baptized and believe in atoning sacrifice Jesus Christ on the cross. We do have some common beliefs. However a protestant is seldom if ever a generic Christian. They identify themselves as Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian or whatever. Of course if an atheist or an evangelical converts to Catholicism they become a Catholic Christian. But a Christian who is Catholic would never identify themselves as a generic Christian just because he went to his evangelical girlfriend’s nondenominational church. If asked he would most likely say he’s Catholic just like you would say you’re Pentecostal or Anglican.
@@Spiritof76Catholic a convert regardless of what you say is someone who becomes a Christian from a non-believing background. If you drive a Toyota car than “change” to an Audi you are still a car owner you don’t “convert” to a car owner. Compris?

The pope built the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi. It consists of a mosque, church, and synagogue that face each other. The pope and the one world region marches on.
Yes we live in truly troubling times but Jesus is in charge and everything that happens is His will including the pope’s actions. May God convert pope Francis.
Blessings and appreciation from Sydney Australia.

St_pablo298. Why do you use the word “convert’ when you already were a Christian?

I am a new Catholic. I certainly don’t understand all the teachings of the Holy Mother Church. But I believe.
Powerful!
I eventually arrived at the same thought i.e. I came to trust the authority of the church. For me, it rested on Jesus'' promise
