Speaking from experience coming to league as a new player probably around s9-s10 was the most difficult adjustment ive ever made lol you basically have to commit massive ammounts of time to researching the game or forever stay in the dark. It was definitely the worst experience ive had in any game coming in as a "new" player and trying to learn but instead being met with flame and toxicity. leagues community shits on you for being new or not in the know about something and forever will make it diffuclt for any new player to get into for that reason.

I had the exact same problem trying to teach new friends League of Legends. I always used the same account, but I realized at how unfair every game was for my friends when I'm playing on my main. So I had to make new accounts just so they wouldn't be thrown against actual Plat+ players. I don't play ranked on my other accounts. I don't even play the same when I'm teaching others, because me being 20/0 stomping new players doesn't show my friends how to play the game properly. I do this even in hockey for my beer league team. Its not fair for a new adult player to go against a 28 year old that started playing when he was 4.

10:30 about the items change I started playing league in 2020 just before the mythics and that LITERALLY happened to me I learned all the items just for them to introduce mythics and flip everything on its head. Dota 2 has like resources to learn mechanics and study the game in the client. League should do that too
