- Hello! I know this is a totally different video from what y'all are used to have but I think one of these per few months it is necessary 'cause I also like to hear your thoughts about it.
After 2 weeks of absence, I returned (yay) and I am gonna try to do videos at the pace I was having on 2022 or even last year of a few videos per week.
I love Project Sekai and for me, I am gonna continue to bring content of the game until nobody watches me anymore, but for now, here I am :)

The burnout is very real. Like just the feeling of not wanting to play anymore, unmotivated and stuff cuz its daily (unhealthy amount of time for me imo 5 hours a day)
Only fun part is when hard songs are out, cuz haha funny challenge song that some people can or cant do. Nothing much really, its just boring an allat now. (also i dont wanna deal with the community anymore)

I think sega should do more collab events(I mean, it's sega, where is the sonic collab?), or maybe something with other games. Also, as a new gameplay type, something as simple as a new type of way to tier for events or live mode would work. At least for me, those would be nice, but what I'd like the most are new vocaloids. Everyone wants Vflower, GUMI, Gackupo or Fukase, but I'm not sure if they can, it would still be something nice
EDIT: Also, forgot to add, I think if they did more song collaboration gachas it would be fun, like the aku no taizai series gacha. ALSO, collabs with more western producers like Ghost would be, at least for me, something that would make me want to play the songs, since they're new maps and in English songs

I agree 😭 the JP server of this game changed the entire UI, added a few new features, lately the charts of songs have been getting cooler and funnier as time passes and, as you already said, they started releasing these worldlink events for each unit but it feels like almost nothing actually changed

i used to play alot when i started, i keep training and watching other people videos for more motivation. It was fun until i tried expert. Now everything just feels wrong, im more competitive and sometimes i rage just because some songs.
Project sekai was my dream game, now it just feels like a normal rythm game

After playing the game for almost a year, I really have to say that the game is very fun to play with. I got to hang out a lot with new friends, including you, and get to know a lot of good music out there for someone like me who loves listening to music. The thing that makes me feel bored with the game is There are few ways to earn crystals when the account is at or near Endgame.If you want to enjoy the game to the fullest, perhaps you should find joy in playing the game like Gacha, want to listen to more new music, want to increase reflexes in your hands or eyes, get lots of friends to play with, ... Personally, I think Pjsk should collab with more comany or anime and release more song like Bandori. The game is not bad, but it's getting boring time by time

This is not just this game, it happens with any game you play frequently haha For example: I was a BIG Genshin player, like I’m Ar60, played FOR YEARS, but it came to a moment when I just…stopped playing. Once that you hit certain level, games start feeling boring lol
I feel kinda the same with Project Sekai, because it’s been years since I play it (I’m rank 310… so yeah lol) and sometimes it feels more like a chore than anything else (doing dailies and that’s basically it lol), but I wouldn’t say the game is boring.
I mean, if I have the same meal or if I listen to the same songs everyday, I get bored of those too. It’s the routine what kills motivation. So the key is being diverse, or take breaks. That way your love for certain media will not die as quickly.

Honestly? It's good that you're taking breaks. Burnout is inevitable to happen, especially if you''ve been going for 2 YEARS. No one blames you for feeling bored of it, and to be honest its pretty reasonable to want to stop for awhile. If you're looking for other ways to still keep your channel active besides pjsk, i'd reccomend just trying other rythm games or just other games in general :3

an idea i have is “survival mode” where its a multi live except for epic gamers only (the requirement would be like 10 master fcs) and you are forced to play on expert or higher, and if you die you are kicked from the lobby. either that or the person with the lowest score is out. the last one standing gets some kind of reward like crystals or smth

SO REAL. SO SO SO SO SO REAL. I just got my friend into it and she’s alr tired of it.. We’ve only been playing because of the banners (Toya and Rui stans 😢). Without the grindy gacha I don’t really think I’ll be playing much. I love the characters, so fanfiction :>. Idk what Sega will do but adding a new group would probs be good good good good good money for them. Still love the fanbase and all that. The content creators are carrying pjsekai rn tbh like tiktok lives and yt. Rlly hope pnsk gets back on the hype train because of smt they release.

I’m also pretty sure that the story of project Sekai has already been set in stone, meaning that they already have a date for when the storylines end sadly. I’m not sure if it’s real (hope not 😢) but I figured this out from Pinterest, I forgot the name of the creator because I have a goldfish brain, BUT, I’m pretty sure that it was stated in an interview.

I honestly have to agree, project sekai has definitely started to feel alot less exciting lately. Not sure if its just cause I've been playing the game for a long time but it just feels theres nothing new or exciting going on and dont feel particularly compelled to play it as much. Ive seen alot of other people (aswell as other youtubers) say the same thing and alot of the proseka youtubers I used to watch have stopped making content now
TRUEEEE like since october of 2023 ive been slowly playing less and less. now i havent picked up the game since january and i feel so guilty bc i remember being OBSESSED this time last year.
Am I the only one who hasn’t experienced burnout yet?? 😅😅 I joined in March of 2023 (so a year ago) and even after never missing a day of login I am still not bored…maybe it’s how much I love the music or just genuinely don’t care about how repetitive it is I dunno. I feel like it’s easier for me to stay interested because no matter what group I always look forward to new cards and events. I do think an addition of a new group would be very fun though! I hope they can do that in the future ^^

I started playing enstars recently, and probably they have more interesting stuff going on. Global version has stuff like stary lives, infinite lives, even society and your own little room for characters - office. Not even talking about the events - you get normal gachas, tour events, unit events, and different missions to do. I think it definitely would be nice to have some of those in project sekai or at least something new
Well.. It depends how Sega wanted to interprend that stuff to pjsekai, since aside from mission thingy, it might make some player even more burn out? Since waiting for the stuff to be available takes time too

I really don't have strong opinions on it, but I gotta say, when you're busy outside of project sekai, yeah, it'd get a lot harder to motivate yourself. It even got to the point where I haven't gone one day without using autoplay! This holds true as a non-beginner since for all of us, it hard at best and impossible at worse to farm crystals! Honestly, the only thing I can think of to add something new to the game will be cross-group covers and other awards (which admittedly may exhaust the seiyuus, so I'm on the fence for that). So far, a main appeal for project sekai is the story and the characters, but I think it's fine the way it is? I don't know...
omg I relate so much, I'm in my last high school year and lately I've been busier than how I was since mid 2022 (when I started playing) and I struggle to motivate myself to keep logging in every damn day, watching all the ads, doing challenge show and daily event missions. Though at the end of the day the fact is that I can't accept to quit this game, it has become part of me and I refuse to stop playing also because I spent money 😂 and in the future my motivation will be even less because I'll go to university
Well, I do hope they finish all the stories, at least the most relevant. The downside of gachas is essentially that they will EoS eventually, the thing is, that it should be one after everything has been told. The last and worst thing to happen is if the story is not even finished or incomplete.

Personally I haven't experienced this *yet* (I began December 2023: this game has been a hyperfixation since then.) But I can very much confirm this from experience with other games, how after playing for a while it will easily get boring. Idk, it just feels like it's kind of a loop evey single day after a while
i've been wanting a new group, or a new card rarity. there are still vocaloid songs that wouldn't fit any group as a cover so they just kinda poop it out as original only, so a new group would give more diversity! like pls sega give us metal so i can have my utsu-p cover dreams come true 😔
I definitely got the burnout too, although my burnout was more in the fall and i've recently gotten more motivation to play. but it does get kind of boring, especially when you're a higher rank with not as many ways to get crystals and not as many things to do as when you have a newer account
if I could add things to proseka this things would be more collabs, flower and Gumi on game + an welcome event for them with special gacha, more songs, stories and all they deserve, maybe a boy group because there's no bg, maybe an new game mode? I still don't know what kind of new gamemode I would like but yeah they need to add new things to the game
i’ve gone through several phases of burnout in my 2(ish) years of playing, i think that’s just inevitable with anything you do every day. eventually you’ll get tired of it, yknow?
what i do is focus on other things for a bit-whether it’s for a week, a month, or multiple months-and then come back when i have fresh eyes again. sure, i may miss banners, but there’s always reruns! and usually the time away allows me to enjoy the game again :)
i've been playing pjsk for over 2 years already (ensekai in february 2022, jpsekai in may 2022) and i've slowly been forgetting to play pjsk (and getting into other jpop artists and groups in the meantime)
pjsk helped me find more vocaloid songs to listen to, and i'm glad that pjsk existed in the first place!
and i still want a new pjsk unit (even though it'll take a long time) and lately i've been wanting non-vocaloid songs in pjsk as well (case 143 isn't vocaloid but i love it so much i want it in pjsk)

hiii i’ve been playing since june of 22 and i have been obsessed with it ever since, i don’t really feel the burnout?? maybe it’s just because i love the game too much and read all the stories but it’s only once i’ve ever stopped playing for more than a few weeks. (in april of 23) it’s almost been two years and i do miss the old pjsk but i love what it is now and i’m so excited for the future. i hope they bring in something really exciting to the game because this game dying would suck ass because my whole personality is based off of it. i hope they figure out something because i LOVE pjsk and always have it holds a very special place in my heart. i want them too add more game modes and add more content but i don’t feel the burn out because i don’t think about the past of pjsk that much, because if i feel nostalgic about that, and i’m too busy sad about that i forget to enjoy the now i feel like it would just be regrettable. i want the 2022 fandom back fs but i trust the pjsk devs with add something new, with the sanrio banner people went INSANE and i want that again. i love pjsk and i don’t want it to die and i just hope we will have more content

Really, for me project Sekai is a great game, but yes, there are times where it becomes too boring and repetitive, it would be better if I started doing more collaborations or things like that, but for me it's really a great game 😺

Ever since I got 4* cards from free pulls of some of my favorite characters for Christmas, I've been finding it difficult to stay on the grind for crystals, especially for limited cards that will take months if not a year to come by (I like playing on the safe side, making sure I have enough to spark and all that). So, I want that one short hair Mizuki, or some other Mizuki card maybe, and Kanade, preferably bride Kanade or just Fes Kanade. But like. Short hair kimono Mizuki is my one objective and I already have enough to spark for them (they come in a YEAR) unless I go insane on another banner. So. I've been grinding for crystals even when I don't need to, because I like seeing my crystals go up, I guess. Uh. Idk what to do. I can save up, watch banners go by, and then wait for reruns on my faves, I guess. But... It's hard to just sit there, play, watch stories, repeat now.
Yeah, i totally agree. I just can't bring myself to play this game on daily basis like i used to, now i play it like once a week and if i play it, i usually end up watching old event stories
I never thought I would get pjsk burnout, until now. Playing this game now feels like a chore and it makes me feel guilty saying that.
I have every song with an FC on hard and expert, and it just gets tiring of playing master as my defeat gamemode bc my arms get tired a lot. For the past two weeks my screentime on pisk went up so much, from 2 hrs daily to 11 hours almost everyday. It's kinda my fault bc I decided to tier but I just wish something can relight the spark because I really enjoy the game. After this event on ensekai, imma take a long break from the game.
for me what makes me not want to play is the fact that every jp update comes onto english server which means that many people will argue about the UI looking "weird".
also half of the fandom is fucking weird, i had to say it. i agree with this video a lot too. i wish they had more collabs
ive been playing pjsk for like,, 2-3 months now (rank 110) and i still love it as much as i did when i started. honestly, it's the opposite for me, i didnt really like it that much at the start but came to really, really love it a lot. i hope it can be this way forever what with new events always round the corner but ik one day the hype will die out for me as well :(

i think a versus team semi-competitive mode like multi lives but with the ranked matches score system and its like a 3v3 would be SO MUCH FUN, like rn the scoring system for the multi lives is just a way to see who has the better team but who plays better its not realy that relevant so i think it would be a really cool gamemode
ive only really been playing pjsk for 4 months, and im already feeling burnout? like early in the day i feel excited to get home and play my favourite game, and then i do and just.. hate it. constantly retrying over and over and over is NOT fun. I've full combod all the easy songs so all that's left for me are all perfecting them and harder songs which i cant do. ig its just the continuous cycle of pressing retry when i lose my combo or all perfect that just tires me
and dont get me started on the gachas.
You're so right on the no content part, it just gets boring doing the same things every event. Team building is just how lucky you got with the gacha (or how much you spent) plus how bad are they going to fuck up the lineup for the event this time and if you're doing the only challenging thing that is tiering it's even more repetitive. PVP is, in my opnion, not that rewarding either, only incentive I have to play it is to get at least gold every season so I can have the miniscule amount of gems.
The game needs something new, new stuff to do that doesn't involve the same old loop of activities and songs, but honestly, even tho I know a lot of players want it I'm not on board with the new group idea, just feels like it will get even more crowded without actually adding much in terms of gameplay and possibly complicating one of the best things the game has...the story.
Besides what the game can do tho, burnout is inevitable, one can only be excited to play the same game everyday for so long. It's normal, there's nothing wrong on leaving the game, even if only for a bit, and playing something else.

You are absolutely right with the statement about no content, it is indeed pretty dull and exhausting to do the same things every event. When cc was announced (jeez im old) we all were hyped, the same thing with pvp and WorldLink! But it's just...too little?
I think sega needs to make more collabs with other franchises (not some toothpaste or milk like istg😭), so we can at least get cards, songs or...maybe even some new minigames or types of events?
I know its a casual rhythm game, but if there will be no new stuff it will just shutdown like in one year-

im not a veteran at all, but i have already burnt out after less than 3 months of playing… its just really bad. and especially since i have a lot of studying, i have less and less time to even log in or do a challenge show, i love the game but its just exhausting logging in every day and doing some shows. i also want a lot of the colorfes stuff but i barely have any crystals, and i barely have time to farm :,) so yeah
going on two years and it's just starting to get repetitive. after losing my jp account i feel like there's no point in playing the game because the new content isn't really new on en, so it's just the same stuff i've already seen. gotta keep up the grind though
yeah this is why i try to focus more on getting good at the game itself rather than tiering or banners. its also pretty repetitive but at least i can listen to my fav songs while trying to get good lol

I started playing project sekai around July 2022 and it was a really fun game for and I adored it for the rest of summer (I also got into ensemble stars around that time as well) but the problem is I would pick up the game and drop it because of me burning out a lot and how the game changed drastically In 3rd anniversary and now the game doesn’t feel like project sekai anymore, I can’t really describe it but like I can’t play it a lot like I used to I get bored after 2-3 months of playing and just kinda wish they spice things up a bit every now and then

Idea: SEGA makes a group that makes English covers of music. Maybe the backstory could be that they were transfer students from America to the schools. Maybe they don’t speak that much except for a weeb coded character. Heck maybe they associate with the main groups to translate their songs kind of like how the VS help the main groups with songs. Honestly I’d be so down to see that happen. Especially because VOCALOID and Project Sekai as a whole already has a huge EN cover community with cool people like Rachie.
Also the events stories of the game is going on for too long and getting repetitive. Like there are hundreds of them now, I mean they’re good but there’s so many and too long to get through. I had a burnout of them and I not even halfway there. And don’t get me started with the ships, not a single one is actually canon (expect for the Minoharu kinda) and it been like over years. I know ships are not the main reason but they can play an important role. That’s one of the reasons, I was playing the game because the stories and characters were amazing and helping out my life but now I don’t know what to do with the game now. I know there are huge changes to the story now but (since I’m global) I have to wait an entire year so I can experience them, sorry for the long rant, didn’t expect it to be this long. If I’m going to be honest, if the game is gonna go for another 5 years and Mizuena isn’t canon, then I simply just don’t know anymore.

I have to agree with your points. This game has gotten boring, and anyway, I’ve kinda quit for a good 4-5 months, only coming back when I feel like it… There isn’t any new content to make of the game which is also why I quit content creation of PJSK (though I wasn’t big so like, what can I say??)
I also have new interests and well, unfortunately, you can’t like the same thing forever yk? Not only that, but the community is a bit freaky, and I’ve outgrown it as well. I think they should make a "band" option like making your own unique band, characters and cards, and also uploading music etc. It would be really nice and would keep players entertained making new units and stuff

oh if you're stuck with the jump from hard to expert i really recommend to you to just start playing harder charts (like lvl 20-21 hards to lvl 24 experts) even if you fail or need to use a lot of life regen characters, it'll help you to start picking up the pace with the kind of charting that expert has, just try to not overdo it (since it might mess up your accuracy in the long term) and you'll be playing expert songs casually in no time c:

i stopped play pjsekai for about 3-4 months when i'm very burned out. turns out i been playing arcaea that time.
Man I have stopped playing this game for 6 months, I honestly u agree, I used to hype a lout about the new things they do, the game modes, events, but everything now feels repetitive.
Tbh burnout is real when it comes to rhythm games I've just lost motivation for rhythm games due to lack of content. If you ever experience burnout I say take a break and play other games or do other things! That's what I'm doing and I haven't been bored not playing rhythm games lol!
I feel like it’s the lack of new game modes and very little rewards for a lot of investment.
If an F2P wanted a certain card, they have to invest a lot of time playing and going through multiple events to try and secure few gems for summoning. This won’t guarantee the character you want.
A way to fix this is tickets, players can do tasks and earn tickets (could be single or multiple pull tickets). These tickets can be used on featured banners or even separate ones. This could give players incentive to play more.
If pjsekai were to add new game modes, it would be nice to try and make sekais more interactive and give out more decorative options. Sort of the room Enstars has.
We can play game modes and earn new furniture and make the character’s relationship higher as well as earning some rewards.
I don’t know why but I’ve never had this with bandori, maybe it’s the connection I’ve had w with it since launch (same with sekai) but the feelings weird
As a player since 2022 I lost my motivation exactly because of knowing what's gonna happen next patch so the hype of new stuff died slowly
I think they should just update global version to “jp” version, like, not dying when hp drops to 0, and the events they have(sanrio, etc) and more
The only reason I'm really even playing prsk right now is to spark White day Rui since I spent some cash on him and uhhhh...yeah no luck, so I gotta spark him or else I lose him til like next year and all my stickers go to waste....

Durante el 2022 e inicios del 2023 yo estaba ADICTA al project sekai, pero ahora se siente cómo si Sega estuviera calcando sus propias ideas una y otra vez con los eventos y gameplays. Aparte de eso siento q ya conozco mucho de project sekai, desde datos random de los personajes hasta sus historias (q por cierto, hay varios personajes cuyos conflictos se reciclan en cada evento q tengan) y en parte es aburrido ya saber todo. La última cosa q me aleja del juego es q cada vez pesa más y mí celular se laguea demasiado

I just want a console port with a Diva like gameplay, just that, the same game but being playable on a switch or ps5, I think what is also annoying is playing that much on the phone, not everyone has an iPad or want to buy one just because one game.
Now if sega want to do something extra might be wonderful to see some more vocaloid solos with their own MV, just as it was with Project Diva.

To be honest, my hype on Pjsekai kinda failed too but doesn't mean that I will forget that game cuz it gived me really so much fun and so many songs that I have to listen for so it's understandable that everybody will not gonna play only the same game because we're changing and we have rights to choose our likes and dislikes, I would be really glad if you would still uploading some videos and some of those videos mostly could be something with pjsekai but I dont force. It's your own choice ❤

I pray that after famous boy band BTS had their reunion album promotions and tour, they should collab with pjsk, like I want to see Jungkook with Miku or Emu, mainly because Emu is as girlypop as Jungkook. The group would have a new songs and their biggest hits and solo songs would be added in the game, and I want the stories about BTS with the members of the pjsk units and the virtual singers. Plus, this event can be JP or KR exclusives.
Proseka has been getting boring as it’s just a rhythm game with cool cards now. Of course the graphics are cool and stuff but it’s the same characters the same favorites and just the same everything. Maybe proseka should release a new unit or more vs focused events to make it feel a bit different?? But I totally agree with you
been playing since ENG launch day and switched to JP over a year ago (not JP) and I'm an oddball this doesn't happen for me at all! I'm just addicted to clicking the buttons and uh gaching and rhythm gaming! Prob cuz I don't read the stories (I read up to everybody's first rotation), don't play everyday, & make it central to me. The only time I quit was around 2 months after I started playing cuz I got so angry there were humans in the game as i expected a project diva experience, and eventually I returned like 3 months later, but yeah SEGA DO BETTER COLLABS AND ADD COOL THINGSSSSS!
I love vocaloid quite a bit even if I don't listen to much msuic outside the game and don't know a ton of music artists, which fuels my love for this game; seriously once I'm physically able to, I'm sooooo gonna get a project diva game
yo amo proseka con toda mi alma y soy consciente de que los juegos de ritmo de este estilo realmente no tienen mucho contenido para dar más allá de los eventos, la historia, el multijugador y las canciones en sí, pero lo del burn out es muy cierto. Más que nada porque yo no puedo gastar dinero en el juego y dios mío me está estresando mucho perderme todas las cartas de rui JAJAJ No soporto, y llega un punto en el que no tengo ganas de jugar para nada.

The best thing to do when you feel burnt out is to just *take a break*. Play another game, stop listening to the music, just take a break. In a month or so you’ll come back full of new motivation! I just came back from a multi-month break from proseka and have come back full of energy. You may have heard this advice a million times, but that’s because it’s the best option. Just do it. Delete the game for a little bit. Do something else - preferably an entirely different genre from rhythm. Maybe even a more laid back game - I personally went to match-3 games. You’ll eventually bounce back !!
Have barely played since fes mizuki came to JP servers. Grinding for 6 hours on the final day just to spark killed the game for me
burnout is totally normal. dont be afraid to play some other games and have fun!
I agree, the game is becoming slightly tedious and boring, I feel like there needs to be some sort of change, which the third anniversary does but it is a while till then
Oh yeah. One more thing to note is that project sekai has reached the halfway point and the story will end in a few years (probs less than 3), so take that as you will.
