“This is going to be the best meal of my life!” Cody says this like three times a day. 😂. We get so tickled by how excited he gets about every single meal.
Wow, wow, wow! You just created the first six star restaurant! Cody, you are one very fortunate man. Not only is Kelly beautiful but she is a culinary specialist...the best in my humble opinion. Jonathan, dude, the way you caressed that chicken Erica must love you 😀. The surrounding beauty and that incredible meal made watching this vlog so well worth it. I'm camped on the beach and wish I could have shared the meal with you! That is my ultimate favorite roast chicken meal with roasted Brussel sprouts and rice. Great video, guys!
I learned that fun fact about Arkansas being the rice capitol when my hubby was stationed in Jonesboro🙂. What a sumptuous meal you guys! Isn’t it wonderful the way water just soothes the soul?!

Cody can sing!
Jonathan is getting more relaxed and confident in front of the camera, he does well when he talks about things on camera. Another great episode all the way round. My wife guessed correctly it was going to be a re-do attempt at the chicken, it looked really good this time around. Breakfast pizza looked great as well. The hwy 80 route looks like a candidate for a Sunday drive for us.
He seems nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
I have watched so many of the camping shows but none have the personality and ways you guys explore opens up my ambition to do the same
Wonderful video ❤. Im living vicariously through you 😊. If i was 30 or 40 years younger, I would love to live your lifestyle. But at 70 with a husband that is willing to camp as long as he has his TV, I'll take what I have. He does like to boondock now that our son and I have convinced him we are not trespassing, lol. Kellie, love your food and cooking style. Food just tastes so much better when cooked outside over an open fire. Years ago we were in Branson, MO, and went to Silver Dollar City early enough for breakfast, and were going to eat at the resturant, buuuut, there was an hour wait to get in. Well, set up outside was a fella cooking eggs, bacon, pancakes, and coffee over an open fire. He said we could eat all we wanted for $5.00 each. That was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! Hooked my husband on eating food cooked over a fiire. He had never had it before. Keep the vides coming of your wonderful life 😊❤!

Roasted chicken and jasmine rice with Brussel sprouts is THE BEST dinner EVER!! Yes! I knew those flowers looked familiar. We bought a home in Chicago that had a small tree that produced very sweet, tiny plums. We never knew plums grew that far north!

Kelly, You are a very good cook,so I am sure you know about adding vinegar or lemon juice to milk for a buttermilk substitute. 1 tablespoon to a cup of milk.🙂

I do the route you mention through Rover several times a year on my motorcycle. Love it!
30:06. A great example of this is the National Park campground (which is in a canyon) at Hot Springs AR. There's a crystal clear stream running right next to campsites that has those shale rock steps. Great if you like falling to sleep to the sound of running water. Other campsites are further from the water

What a fun recipe. Did you know you can stack cast iron dutch ovens during baking? It's kinda nice because you use less coals... and it looks cool.

I just purchased that same rice last week for the first time! But it is Basmati. The package is clear that it is none GMO and grown in the US, so I snatched it up! Have not tried it yet. But I love Basmati rice (ORGANIC, NON GMO MADE IN THE U.S) I think someones enjoying SPRING time :)
We had a good camping place our family used for years.There was a little falls like that there, about four ft deep. We'oud all dunk under, and time each other, I lost each time, you know, to make the others feel better!

How you guys I got this one from Shawn James you get a clean hunk of chain and you run it through the chicken and put a couple skewers through the chicken through the links so you can turn it without it sliding. Hanging from a tripod over an open flame I tried it once with an organic chicken it was fabulous. Another great video thank you
I sometimes call the Caddo, "My River". Ive floated it more times than I can count. The Hwy Dept is building a new bridge now. I think the old one was built in '56. Its Hwy 70 bridge in Glenwood. Glad to see yall back home for a bit.

Look in the garden section of home improvement stores for shovels. A few have metal handles. Or find a shovel bottom at a yard sale and put a metal pipe handle in yourself. My grandpa replaced most of the handles in his stuff after my husband kept breaking them off when we first married. 😄 I love my Papaw.

We just used to season the chicken chop up some butter and triple wrap it In aluminum foil and throw it on the fire. A lot simpler and no clean up.

Where I live, ticks only come after a certain temperature. They don't like the cold. I only "play around" (bushcraft) in the woods until the temperature rises and ticks arrive. After that, only through trails and "beaten paths"...
