As a big fan of Renault cars, I’m glad you reviewed it. But in saying that, none should buy one. Because once you buy one Renault Australia have no problem with treating customers as if they are second class citizens. Mum and grand mum are very happy with their Renault Koleos’s, but when it’s come to warranty claims they have been treated like crap. So better off getting an MG I say!
@@YZJB I assume they think so because Renault is leaving New Zealand and Renault said already years ago that the Australian market is too hostile to sell EVs in
Nah, Renault will be here as long as Nissan and Mitsubishi will be here. Once they launch their ute they'll become more popular. Citroen is a Stellantis brand and all Stellantis brands are shit.
I'm surprised to discover that Renault's are distributed in Australia... Do people buy Renault's and other european cars in Australia? Really, is it possible? I though there were only Japanese and corean cars allowed...
Questionable reliability and longevity, distributed by ATECO so expect them to fight you on warranty, poor technical support and poor stock of spares. I could not think of a worse option to buy in this segment. Caveat Emptor.
Great to see you in the captain review seat daddy J 😉
Nice review, Daddy Jacob! 👍
Great stuff, and I liked your take on the car.Looks very nice compared to the others.
Yummm a South Korean-built French car on a Nissan platform with a 1.33L engine and a Getrag DCT. Couldn’t think of anything better
There is no Nissan platform here... It's based on the Clio-Captur's CMF-B Platform
@@nirnaftachi1298it’s Renault-Nissan joint platform as it is used in Nissan juke and note as well 😃
@@ygs660
This platform has developed by Renault, at first for clio and captur. Sure it's a "Renault-Nissan platform"
MERCEDES BENZ engine
It will be the Mitsubishi ASX plateform. But a South Korean manufacturer car. Renault motor drive train.
Lol. New car prices are insane. This car needs a minimum 200cc more engine capacity, all wheel drive version, and a $5K price slash.
Fun fact, this engine was a join venture with Mercedes and can be found in the A class. Whilst the DCT is slowish, its also very reliable.
Good stuff Daddy Jaycob!
Great to see you reviewing on your own!!!! On the Arkana, looks a bit odd....
4:58 No, it doesn't represent Alpin, it represents the French flag...
How is this 2025 Renault Arkana? Maybe in Australia? This model is in Hungary since 2023 or 2022, cant remember exactly...
This is the facelift its been around for a while

Renault is Imported by inchape , Renault dont have a Australian office...
@@daweigo6851Wrong.
Good review. Sadly Renault will exit Australia in coming years like Citroen just has, which makes this a no go.
Why do you think Renault is leaving?

@@shroomyesc yeah but Renault is not imported in Australia by Renault any more, it’s imported by ATECO.
@@YZJBbecause they sell about 3 cars a year in Australia
Does it have independent rear suspension?
Renault has that rear light signature since 2015. It’s more like VW looks like Renault, not the other way around 😂
As long as it’s not a 3 cylinder disaster.
I'm surprised to discover that Renault's are distributed in Australia...

What? European cars have been in Australia for maybe 60 years, probably 40% of market European cars of some description....
It's Coupy and it's Swoopy 🎵🎶
Damn we need this car in india 🔥🔥🔥
replace the battery first the display disappears way too soon
i had a captur til december last year good cars though
man nowadays i can not really justify any facts of buying a new car. Prices are ridiculous.
That engine is a messy looking thing. Is it reliable??
Isn’t it pronounced Alp - eye -n ? As in the mountains.
No.
The reason I won’t buy one is because there is no dual zone aircon in any model👎
Can't believe they named it after the serbian war criminal
Or English rock band?
He was called Arkan, and In former Yugoslav countries is named Megane Conquest for the sake of not associating with him lmao
next will be the Renault Ustase
@@skyhigh2764 only maybach can build a ustasa
Basically a megane...they couldve improved the lights...the new Rafale looks better
And then Renault pull out of the Aussie market…..

Alrighty

You’ve never owned a Renault that’s obvious, their after sales service and parts leave most others for dead.
@@kennethprocak5176 Not now that ATECO are responsible for the brand. When they were a factory operation things were better.
The Korean built cars are quiet reliable...
Al peeen.. wth?
Fist you?
Um, I think you'll find it's pronounced "Alpyne", as in pine tree, or is it peen tree? Just sayin'.
😂
Um, no it really isn’t. It is pronounced Al peen. Anyone who knows motor cars should know that. You clearly don’t.
