So in addition to the vampires and witches lore we also found out that Cassie Harlow is actually the descendant of the famous witches line. That's why she could invoke the witch power in addition to being turned as a vampire..
Also it seems quite poetic that the veil of leyline which protects you can also kill you lmao, seems like mother nature or gaia thought to give another chance for vampires to redeem themselves.
Battle action this chapter was good. especially the scene where the hybrid kept on slashing MC, but him being HIM and i mean having the silver antibodies protection to just watch the ongoing slashes while smirking was cold 🥶
seems like at the end the trio was saved as we watch the veil reform itself. next chapter seems finale which could also mean it would be an epilogue.
Wonder how vampires are gonna explain themselves to crimson beech civilians cause they saw it all.. Maybe a mass memory wipe??? ALSO I WAS SO WISHING THERE WAS A CHOICE TO IGNORE HELPING LIBBY CAUSE I WOULD HAVE WATCHED HER ***. not to be mean but she kinda deserved what's coming to her.
Y'all gonna hate me for saying this but i kinda want this series to go like the freshman. i know this book lacked execution the first half but still. This book has immense potential and not every book needs to be about fighting the big bad. One could be about the internal conflicts between the nexus while we watch MC struggle through his college life. Next one could be about saving other clans from a potential nuclear threat like creature thus leaving the crimson beech veil protection.
Then the next one could be about vampires coming to light and their conflict against humans for acceptance while MC is all grown up and is employed or something. Which could also close out with the trio marriage and potential children in the future??? could be amazing. i don't think we have ever seen a choices MC have children with their love interest and it is shown apart from the crown and the flame book?? i am a sucker for such endings man.

@abhirio 'ID3' should happen (add MC's dad into 3rd book (Maybe he's a 'Creator' which wasn't found). IMO if they don't introduce/add MC's dad into 'ID3', then that'll be BIGGEST missed opportunity for 'ID' series. We never heard anything about MC's dad in either 'ID1' or 'ID2'. Its time they centralise 'ID3' around MC, Terri (MC's mom) & MC's father (creator). Explore that storyline but still keep it centralised around vampires. @pixelberry
MCs having children with their LIs? Mother of the year, TRR-TRH, Baby Bump, The Billionaire's Baby (kinda).
MOTY was MC as a single mother raising their child with the Li (li was not the parent). TRH is acceptable. Baby bump's entire story from chapter 1 was centered around the pregnancy of the love interest. Billionaire's baby is a different ballpark.
I was trying to say the non romance books which end like that, but yeah good find 👍🏼

Hear me out guys. There's this thing I can never understand. Many of these vampires have lives for decades. And in other vampires movies or stories, we often see that they are rich af. While the Hunters have been improving their arsenal, why couldn't these vampires just wield firearms? 😂

After that they need a giant deneuralizer for whole town. I actually wanted some what more choices & consequences to take down Lennox but this is good too. Not many books with poly route & that has female LI so much. So I'm loving this since beginning. No complaints from me.
mass memory wipe would have the same affect/effect of the other memory wipe or not work. given libby still remembered what happen to a point.
i would like the series to continue with the vampires coming out to the wide world which in turn would cause a vampire war between those that want to and those that don't. along with some wanting to rule humanity and others just live and feed off them willingly.
as for you saying seeing MC in college and such..why? this series there was not much about MC in school at all, so why would they pivot to show college life. Maybe work life while vampire that would work better.

I'm feeling like this book is pushing towards a Poly Route, MC with Both LIs.
I would LOVE a vampire civil war.
