I think this kid more than doubled his subs since I commented this 4 days ago (personal reminder) today a 12-22-22 356 subs. Just to see how fast it grows
Now this is a go-cart to be proud of. Very nicely detailed I'm sure it rips! I've seen guys on this channel putting lawnmower engines in S10 pickups...why! what a waste of time and money!
Nice build I grew up racing sleds in Maine. My best friend still runs his 01 SRX and a 98 V-MAX 4 with lots of NOS. That viper engine will only push about 110 hp to the crank that setup is probably more due to the ECU. What carbs are on it. Also th we Polaris secondary will actually probably work better you just need to set the tension so the tach will be at 7800 to 8200 at full shift. If it is not shifting I to OD loosen the secondary spring up. The triple pipes are a huge boost compared to the single the vipers came with does the block have power valves, if so then that setup will k be capable of SRX level of power which is 145 or so stock. I was a CAT man and the SRX was my FIRECATS competition.
I've only actually been on a snowmobile once, but racing them must have been a blast! I need to check the size, but it's just running the stock Mikuni carbs, and it does have the power valves. It's pretty much an SRX motor at this point, although I did see something in the forums about the viper engine coming trail ported from the factory. It's getting to about 8300 rpm under load. I currently have a pretty soft secondary spring. It's an orange 10070 30/70 lbs. Do you think it would be worth it to go softer? I have no experience tuning CVTs. Might stick a camera back there during shift out to try to see what's going on.
You can also play around with the fly-weights Barry.. A clutch is a clutch my friend. the profile of the flyweight (outside or topside) will determine where motor will run, so, a Dyno is pretty important to know where motor is at. I ran supermod Ski-Doo's back in the day, we even notched the weights to get engagement up without changing the spring for shifting. Our clutches came in consistently at 8600, and with the Comet qúick change we had a ton of adjustment
Instead of running to axles SKE karts sells adjustable axle hangers and some bearing casettes that would allow you to move the axles by taking out 4 bolts. Way easier than changing a chain and mounting sprocket and hubs
How can you move the axle like 4" without changing the chain, and you still need to change the sprockets to change the gear ratio to suit the big tires so no advantage.
Your vid just showed up and I gotta say for a younger dude you seem to know wtf ur talking about. Not many people know the differences between the SX Viper and SRX700. I don't subscribe to many channels but I will to yours. Keep it up man.
"At 8400rpm, it should hit 130mph, but with current clutching will only get up to 104mph. " I always thought a clutch meant engine engaged or not engaged. Must check out one of them variable ratio clutches!
@@annpeerkat2020 that is a variable clutch or CVT (Constant Variable Transmission). The faster the engine speed the more the drive clutch (the one on the crank) comes together and the faster the driven clutch spins the farther it spreads apart. When he says "current clutching setup" he means the spring and weight setup. You can set them to engage at 2K rpm or 5K+ for a more aggressive launch. When you grow up snowmobiling it's just second nature but if not just watch a video on CVT's.
So I know a guy who was aiming for the moon, ended up hitting Jupiter. That's this. Years ago, this cart would have found itself somewhere in a wet dream, guarantee it would have. its wasteful by and in many ways not useful, but yeah I definitely get it cause it's also a new level of badass and beauty (that nitrous tank mounted such as the holster of Doc Holiday and tank was the .45 cal. ) Don't want to use it, but it's there if needed. Is there anyway at all to a turbo can work on that or something? Can't really think of much more, suppose you already have a parachute, something equally as cool right now.
One of those bigger channels was looking for a van body like that. Don’t remember what one though could have been red beard or grind hard cars and cameras I don’t know it was one of em
I didn't realize there would be so much interest in it. Motivated now to start some new projects and rip this thing some more. Still accepting offers, though.
My apologies for the switch-up, but with the unexpected popularity of the kart, I'll probably make a few more videos on it before I post it. However, you are welcome to shoot me an offer. I'm in the Seattle area. stuckyroad@gmail.com
@grindhardplumbingco would probably pay some good money for that van body you have off to the side, maybe a chance for a good collab/build the channel/ who knows. Heard they’re looking for a body just like that.
I love how he casually explains all of the insane mods on this thing!! Very cool build! I'm sure that thing is a blast to drive.
This just popped up in my recommended because UA-cam knew I would subscribe
I despise you algorithm kokc suckers

This is absolutely one of the toughest things I’ve seen in a good while, thank you for posting
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@BootlegBarryhow much and how fast do you want to sell it
You have a pretty well engineered machine there. Good job.
Thank you!
Now that’s something I’d like to ride in!
Now this is bad ass . You sir will go viral. Killer build
700cc 2 stroke is insane....and then he added nitrous!!
it's literally more powerful than most people's car
that looks a serious build bro, never seen a 2-axle design before
Amazing engineering Barry and supper clean but you would have to be crazy to open her up .
Ill get a video up of it running.
This is why I sometimes love and grateful for yt because they recommend me something that I *actually* like
That go kart looks very souped up and fast with that 700cc 3 cylinder 2-stroke man.
hahah yeah, it gets it moving!
Holy fucking shit, that thing is insane . I love how calmly he goes over all of the insane things he's done to the kart like it's nothing😂
Right arms going to get nice and warm
Literally a death machine. Love it!
I always wanted to build one using a 500cc 4-cylinder two-stroke engine.
Who makes a 4 cylinder 2 stroke? A sled engine I'm guessing?

oh my god... That is the biggest kart I have ever seen
Haha, it barely fits in the back of my astro van.
I seriously thought the pic was clickbait! I was like there's no way that's a real go-cart! Ha

I commented a couple of times, but I think it gets lost in the traffic.
that is the coolest go kart ever
Dannnngggg what in the 2 stroke is that thanggg🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
