JIMI HENDRIX WAS A FANTASTIC RHYTHMIC PLAYER, DEVELOP GREAT RHYTHM CHOPS FROM THE CHITLIN CIRCUIT, THE PLAYERS ALL HAD TO EVEN BE IN STEP SWINGING THE GUITARS BACK AND FORTH., RHYTHM... When he sat in for Billy Davis that year and Hank Ballard and the Miidnighters.
Yo have come closer to Jimi than anyone I’ve ever heard. Your attention to his technique used by playing a righty guitar made lefty: genius! You should join the Hendrix review. Clearly u’d kill alotta players!!!👍🏽🫵🏽💯✌🏽
That was amazing. Great playing and tone. Thank you! You killed it. Those who say "get a Strat"....well sure. As mentioned right away, he played Strats. Pity Fenders POS channel can't compete with Gibsons. Only a Gibson is Good Enough. Hendrix knew it, but sadly as a southpaw he went with what was easier in the day. I said it.
He also played Gibsons and they are not "better". Better is subjective. However, if you want the classic tone Fender's are better for nailing the Hendrix tone. Also, the song Hey Baby (New Rising Sun) was played using this model but Hendrix returned back to Fender as his main axe as he thought it was BETTER. I'll go w/ Hendrix's opinion over yours ;)
Gibsons suck. Epiphone are better. The slanted headstock is the worst design ever invented. And nothing touches a PRS custom 24 08 SE. It's a Gibson and fender combined. Of course, you have to play gtr to know that
Is it possible to get the intonation spot on if I ordered a left handed version and played it righty? The bridge is slightly angled so I want to make sure that the saddles have enough room forward to compensate.
I believe Jimi’s R&B background set him apart from his contemporaries who learned chiefly from blues greats and early rockers. Learn and assimilate RB and you’ll be ahead of the pack
Nice video. Didn't expect that on gibson channel. just wanted to know something " When you guys can provide custombuckers on this model, why not rosewood than laurel ? I mean that would definitely compliment
agreed. I'll take resewood board over custombuckers any time. because i can change the pickups, but i will be stuck with the board unless i spend a whole loy of money modding it. For the epiphone by gibson custom shop series, i only look at the ebony board models.
Jimi Hendrix had, ok was #2 ,for the largest hands ever for guitar players,11"from wrist to tip of middle finger. musicians hands. Freakishly long hands you could Google this.
Sheesh we still doing this? Would rather hear a great player than a great guitar. Millions of great guitars, not so much players. Jimi’s playing on Gibson guitars was just as phenomenal as his fenders. His pedalboard carried more weight than his strat but as usual the guitar community thinks the guitar is the secret sauce.
Jimi Hendrix is the king of guitar and blues rock.
Happy Birthday Jimi
Been watching Hendrix's clones" since 1970's, it's good you're keeping it alive!
Very well done!
thanks for the tips dude, a lot of stuffs to explore in our playing arsenal
Dinesh - you are one special guitarist. Solid, full tones, played with confident aplomb!
Well done man,
JaneR
Thanks for listening
Rainbow Bridge set where he used the V for the entire set is amazing.
Hard to find the video footage though.
I am going to spend time with this and my ax8 tomorrow, thanks Diresh

@bbqchickenrobot3 "better is subjective"......"Fender are better for nailing the classic Hendrix tone". Which is it?

Living Australia we were only given 3 Jimmy's 😡

Welcome
Happy birthday
Guitar players, especially fingerpickers, have been using their thumb like that since at least Charley Patton and Blind Lemon Jefferson.

@@fuzzfizz okay
Will Gibson ever bring back the mid size hollow bodies like 125 or the L-50’s?
Wow! :)
Vilanova junction
You need some Turquoise
“Before we get started, like the video.”
🙄No. Let’s wait and see.
Kudos for not shying away from the Strat, Marshall, Dunlop of it all - not trying to act like he exclusively used Gibson owned products
Jimi Hendrix had, ok was #2 ,for the largest hands ever for guitar players,11"from wrist to tip of middle finger. musicians hands. Freakishly long hands you could Google this.
And he didn’t have tab books and you tube to show him anything
Eddie
String guitar upside down.
Man that Falcon amp sounded horrible... Thumbs up on everything else!
I was AMAZED...at how LITTLE that sounded like Jimi Hendrix. I could only watch as long as it took me to type this.😶🌫😎
Did fender assassinate jimi because he switched to gibson?😮
Get a Strat.
Dude that’s a signature jimi Hendrix V
Sheesh we still doing this? Would rather hear a great player than a great guitar. Millions of great guitars, not so much players. Get high ? 🤷🏼♂️
Imagine jimi with a warlock guitar
The Vs were a less defined but more interesting sound on later Hendrix live recordings.
A Gibson and a Mesa? Doesn't exactly scream Hendrix, haha
"I will show you how to play like Jimi Hendrix" : starts playing nothing like Jimi Hendrix.
You must be kidding!
Get a Strat , fuzz face and a Marshall
Certainly another option, for sure!
Not even near like Jimi.
You'll never know
What Univibe did you use here?
