I think what makes Son Seungyeon's voice so identifiable is the sheer output and large resonance she's able to carry so high within her mixed voice. Very few people in general have the ability to support so high in the soprano tessitura. When you're correctly trained in the mixed register, you're able to blossom where most sopranos today could never. She's one of the best young vocalists out today, not in K-Pop, but in general.
I miss the era when a singer like this young woman, singing this true love ballad, would reach number 1 selling millions of copies. It's a pleasure to have UA-cam recommending these things to me but hey, I wish life was fair.
