Chinese Gov't Eyes $1 Trillion USD in Citizens' Savings, Using Fines, Price Hikes, etc., to Reclaim

- The financial crisis caused by the economic downturn is becoming a major issue that the Chinese communist government urgently needs to address to maintain stability in China. With a significant fiscal deficit and no new sources of income, local governments resort to fines or price hikes to increase income. And the source of this income is, of course, ordinary Chinese people.

When the government runs out of money to pay cops and soldiers is when it's going to get really interesting.
It will happen this year... definitely will get interesting and you will clearly see who is a sheep and who is a free human when Govts collapse happens.
LOL just like the USA stole Russian people money.
@@Vex916T I want in on the "pool" for "not this year" since any uprising will be met with more repression. Thousands of cops appear sometimes, and there are newly created local police units, as reported in one of these china-bashing videos.
Yes
Current leaders will get dragged out by the general. And then there will be democratic elections...we have seen this happen numerous times in history.
Their economy grew with warp speed, now it declines with transwarp
Yep that what happens with Ponzi schemes they grow unbelievably fast then collapse.
I genuinely feel bad for the people who just want to live their life with their families comfortably without interference by the government. But the people who see everything going on around them, are able to cognitively realize what's going on and what the causes are, and STILL support the CCP, I have no sympathy for them.
Well... They're paying for their parents/grandparents mistakes... When they had the chance to start a revolution, they sided with the wrong side and... The less tyrant side was exiled to Taiwan

The worst of both capitalist and communist systems.
Capitalism is infintely better than communism, but you are kind of right, the CCP has managed to build a "1984" level dystopia.

There's no Capitalism here, sadly. It's all government meddling.

Hey Chinese people!
Please remember that there's lots of You, overwhelme the Police! There's strength in numbers....

Prices of necessities are going up with inflation, prices of luxuries are going down with demand. For decades, Chinese people were buying things they did not need with borrowed money.
Free money they didn't save but wasted it. The pipe dream of living on cloning profits has gone dead. Xi asks to stop wasting and take home a doggy bag after eating. They laugh at him, sneering that he was crazy. Money is short to eat now, how will they pay for a high-speed ride now.
5 gold for littering! littering?! I barely make that in a year.

If Chinese subways didn't have security staff everywhere, grabhags would run away with everything that isn't welded to the walls and floor... and even those may be at risk of grabhags bringing saws to pick them up.

Same thing happening here folks, WAKE UP !!
I have been fined £12.50 every day I take my car out, like doing a school round or going to supermarket, in London just because it was older than 2016. China is way behind the west in extracting money from the citizens.
How is life in London ?
you are joking right? Right?
@@michaelwin83 Everyone is grabbing money including the government.
The difference is you can afford it. While for the average Chinese person it really hurts.
Ah yes, an emissions tax is defo the same as a fully corrupt dictatorship country that builds marshmallow apartments, makes fake toxic food, covers up tragedies and families from mourning, lethal work practices and intimidates it’s citizens with an iron fist and plunged it’s middle class into poverty.
All of China is Tammany Hall!😮
Xi’s thoughts = this is how you treat poor people and those who can’t fight back.
How in the world does china manage to even function??
Sadly, when we are poor we should spend the most money (for the country's economics reasons) and not buy gold.
Soon, they’ll tax you for breathing . Smh, looting own people
This is nouveau slavery. In the old days, a slave worked for his master while living on the land and being fed. Today, as in America, the slave master pays the slave only enough money to rent, eat and pay for goods, leaving the nouveau slave with nothing left in his pocket. And if he happens to have extra money, the government takes it.
Plundering the People. So much for the Great Party ! A broke joke !
As if what’s happening with the U.S. Govt. Plundering its “OWN” citizens as Ca$h Cow$!? What’s happening in China will soon happen right in America as the Deficit Explodes, the Economy Tanks; just wait till the government runs out of money.

Exceptional that China is experiencing inflation and deflation at the same time.
It's hard to spend money when you barely make enough to survive. A lot of people aren't just tightening their belts, they're literally just broke.
Excellent report today. The detail on subways and train expenses to local government was well done. Happy Trails
Same here in India, Economy is breathing with Tax, Fine, Penalty, Liquor. No Productivity.

I grew up during the Cold War times and then watched the Mighty USSR, collapse because its economy self destructed trying to keep up with the American military spending, The USSR even with many security investments, the CCPs security groups will not be able to stop the fall of the economy,

Ecellent.
This is how they are going to try to do us in America
The US Govt have been increasing their extortion taxes, fees, tariffs, and fines against Americans for past few years, however the US Govt do it more sneaky than CCP and it is why so many things are more expensive now for Americans like utility rates or food prices.

I stopped putting money in banks a long time ago and im in america.. i dont trust them being able to do bail ins with my money.. plus the dollar is trash... gotta swap it out for something worth more
Same with India which penalizes hefty bucks for seat belts and all other stuffs. Ten or twenty tickets may come closer to a used motor bike's cost itself. Most state governments has allotted targets for income through penal charges. Even SBI which is a government run Bank penalized a hefty low balance charge from all it's existing accounts which was a cheap trick to collect a substantial income to the bank.
If the law says that you have to wear the seat belt, wear the f seat belt. This is on you, not on the government.
Stagflation is starting to hit China. The Soviet Union also went through this. In order to try to counter this, the central Soviet government subsidized the wages of the urban proliteriat, but did not try to deal with the root cause of the problem economically. So people bought bread at non-inflated prices but the flour supply did not increase, so bakers quickly ran out of bread. People in the end queued for hours or even days for a loaf of bread. Shortages occurred in most kinds of consumable products and most shop shelves were empty. The hyper-expensive black market flourished (for those who could afford it) even when the Soviet government tried cracking down on it. Like all "good" dictatorships, the Soviet Union tried autarky, but could not manufacture all househould products and cars at the same quality and quantity. Without free markets, most Soviet citizens waited for years to own a car, even when a partial down payment initially occurred.
Cash cows. So sad!

Inflation is an economic phenomenon characterized by a general increase in prices and fall in the purchasing value of money. Essentially, as inflation rises, each unit of currency buys fewer goods and services.

Part of me is glad that Xi is incompetent. But, he’s a zealot which makes him unpredictable.
His alter ego (11 Ping Pong balls) in India, is doing (more or less) the same thing when it comes to price rises of essential commodities, highway tolls cost rise, and train fare increase with cancellation of existing trains, et al, for past 4 years. Instead of voting on party principles, people of India are voting based on alter ego's persona.
For perspective, 1 Euro buys almost 7.78 Yuan and 1 US Dollar buys 7.22 Yuan.
The median income in China is something like 55,000 Yuan per year.
That's slightly less than $8,000 a year.
And, sure, the economic data available is problematic and misrepresents the true economic conditions in China. But do you think the CCP is understating the economics here or overstating them?
If we pretend the reported median is correct and it IS actually 55,000 Yuan per year, that means half the population live on less than 150 Yuan a day.
Keep that number in mind when you hear the prices have gone up. A 5 or 10 Yuan increase represents a HUGE increase.
(And then consider the median income reported is probably overstated by about 30%!)
A median income doesn't mean anything in a country like China. You still have 600 million of rural people. Many live more selfsufficient so they don't use money for trade. And Shanghai und Bejing are fucking expensive and Minimum Wage is higher then unemployment social Germany now (800 china vs 550 Germany)
