There are several camping areas (Campismos) in Cuba. They are managed by the Grupo Empresarial Campismo Popular.
These are not traditional campgrounds, but rather sites where it is possible to rent a cabin and take advantage of the services offered on site: swimming pool, beach, restaurant, activities, etc.
The vast majority of visitors are Cuban because few campismos can accommodate foreign tourists.
To the east of the Startfish and Memories hotels in Jibacoa are two campismos: Playa Amarilla and Peñas Blanca. These are easily accessible on foot by road and/or by a path that runs along the coast.
These two campismos unfortunately seem abandoned. Too bad because they are located in a pretty, peaceful area where many coconut trees rise to the sky.
