Ordered my first “nice” pen today. It was a short bolt. Can’t wait to get it in a few days.

The thing I appreciate about Tactile Turn is how you all continue to find ways to improve past production items. Each successive item is better and addresses customer issues.
That is the key to your success and future! Thanks.
Looking forward to your upcoming knife!
PS just got my Nautilus pen yesterday and it’s great.

I just bought a copper short bolt shipped to Alaska and it took no time at all to deliver so I'm very impressed and I'm already starting to notice patina on the pen after only 2 weeks of use

I’ve been enjoying my first TT pen the Extraterrestrial. It took like 2 days to get to Canada! As a machinist I really appreciate the work you do. If I ever get sick of making down hole oil tools and Canadian winter’s I’d definitely move to Texas and apply for a job! Keep up the good work!

I wasn't aware ya'll did special edition bolt action moku-ti and mokume gane pens/pencils. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for both. lol. I have a zirconium pen/pencil set with moku-ti clip/bolt and absolutely love them both. I also have a pencil in bronze with moku-ti clip/bolt and a the full size blot action pen in bronze with moku-ti bolt. I'm working on getting the slim bolt action pen in bronze so I can have the moku-ti clip/bolt so it matches the bronze pencil. I won't buy another writing instrument since learning of Tactile Turn. imo nothing beats the quality that Tactile Turn puts out. the weight of the bronze, imo is perfect, and I love the milling pattern. the pattern is subtle but yet gives you great grip while writing. Absolutely perfect pens/pencils imo.

Just received my bolt action: zirconium /5.6"/ Titanium Damascus button.
    I absolutely love this!
Hope I receive my pair of GT'S soon, ordered same day.
Gel isn't my favorite but I'm going to try the ultra fine and see how that works.
Bravo guys, everything in house. Even the cerakote.

Loving the Short Copper Bolt Action that I purchased from you a few months back and I'm hoping to snag a Limited Release, Short Nebula #31 if a batch happens to drop before the end of the year.

Wow 22 employees. TT sure has come a long way. The knife looks great with the wire clip and nested liner. A bit of extra relief on the show side scale to more easily access that liner and maybe a detent ball ramp would be cherries on top. Can't wait for the finished product.

Paul Milano shipping and assembly manager...
I just lost $280 on a zirconium short that never arrived at my home due to USPS "1st class" shipping. I really wish a more reliable free shipping method was provided at that cost. Very disappointed and upset, but I'm sure one of my neighbors is quite happy to have a fine pen with my name inscribed on it

Expensive, but Corinthian bronze/shakadu is the urushi equivalent of metal in terms of surface finish. Plato is quoted saying (Criti. 114E) that this was "the most precious of the metals then [in the mythical past] known except gold”. Alfred Gilbert, who is best known for Cupid in London Trocadero, did a lot of experimentation with Corinthian type alloys to achieve unique colour and lustre (aubergines were particularly favoured, if i remember). This alloy also allowed leaching the surface of its bronze constituencies to affect a pure gold surface. The Japanese Shakadu used Corinthian type inlays which when given patina revealed the inlay as dark coloured.

Will, please answer this question. Your answer will be so valuable for me:
I am starting a new company that is going to produce a mechanical machine which I have designed. Those components of it which need to be produced with lathe have dimensions similar to a normal pen; From 10mm/12mm stainless still bar they should be made. They have lengths in the range of 4cm to 9cm. Also the same cuts that I see you have created on these pens (I mean that cut which is like a J on these pens of your company) should be made on some of my components as well. So, I know that I need a lathe with at least 3 axis; X, Z, C. It should also support live tools.
But my question is that whether I need to buy a Swiss type CNC lathe, or a normal CNC lathe can also do the job for me. The advantage of a normal lathe is that it is more versatile and I can use it to make some other products in the future as well (as the other products that I think of creating in the future need to be made up of about 5cm bars, which is quite large for a Swiss lathe). But on the other hand Swiss lathe is more accurate, as we know. I really don't want super accurate results. I would say, any lathe which is good enough for producing these clean pens that you create, can do my job as well.
So, could you please let me know which way you think I should go?
I already thank you a lot for this informative video.
