Forever! Her Royal Majesty! This is one of my all-time favourite EXO songs, shares the number 1 spot on my favourite EXO songs list and is the ringtone of my phone! Plus Xiumin in the live performance is just everything!

Ok, we're FINALLY on my fave EXO album ever! I'll edit this to add more comments as I watch ur reaction😁
Ok, first of all. This album has 3 of my top 10 EXO b-sides in all albs(disregarding the title tracks) & that says smthing about how good it is bcus my taste is very diverse. So to be in top 10, it has to be very unique & memorable☺️
Sweet lies is one of them. Oh man, this song is the personification of sensual. As u said, it's actually very simple. But the vocals is going A LOT. 6 out of 8 members in this song has a high falsetto part to sing. What's so captivating about this song is the way they're trying to sing high, but still keeping it down low for the sensual purpose. & it's also unique bcus it's a hybrid of RnB-Trap.
The line distribution is pretty dirty for Xiumin here bcus his line is mostly harmonies with SC in their rap parts but he really adds flavor by doing that! & yes they've live stage for Sweet Lies😊😛
What u do has a special place in my heart. This song is PERFECT as a hype song when u're on ur way vacationing to the beach in summer😄
11:17 was Ksoo. Sehun legit has no individual line here. The lyric video didn't show it but he mostly sing as a lower backup vocal with other members' parts. It'd be so much better if he at least can sing some of the lines but nonetheless, it's a very fun & addictive song!
25:53 that part was Baekhyun. Definitely one of fandom's faves! As u can see, the rapline is going crazy here! Love that SC has slow, choppy rap parts in the beginning of the song as a preparation for us to what's gonna happen😄
The rap bridge starts by Chanyeol with the same slow pace again but with much smoother flow. Then Sehun directly attacking with faster flow & Chanyeol went even faster than him. Not just that, but he manipulated the listeners by keeping the rap longer than the supposed time where most people would expect it to be cut off, continue it right away with the final chorus. That's just super smart & cool!
30:30 Ksoo doing adlibs there on top of Kai's lines. After that, Chen did it on top of Baek's lines.
Also as an added info, Chanyeol has done rap with that kind of amazing speed before, it's on Lightsaber☺️
Also, don't be afraid of stating ur honest opinion sis! It's not discrediting their discography at all! Being a fan doesn't mean u'll always end up liking all of their songs. I mean good if u do but I found it pretty rare & unbelieveable for people to be like that. There will always be a few songs that we don't like from our faves, esp with discography as huge & diverse as EXO. It's normal.
But I respect u so much during all of these album reaction bcus even if u don't like a few of their songs, u still find positive points about it & embrace it as it is instead of downgrading it bcus those songs might be someone's else faves.
That just shows u how EXO music truly has everything for everyone.
This album itself is indeed sounds more poppy & energetic. & despite u think it's not really experimental, half of the songs in here was indeed one musically. Esp in comparison with the vibe from their previous albums.
But they made it in a way that truly doesn't sound experimental, instead smthing that can keep the hype up & lure the listeners to listen again & again. Pure GENIUS! It's also very cohesive bcus they all have the same edm & trap influence in it eventho each song is completely different from the others ❤️❤️
Ex'ACT would be cohesive as well if not for Monster, Lotto & Can't Bring Me Down lol. EXODUS & XOXO is very cohesive too imo.
seems like you gonna finish all albums listening party till obsession and start the live stages, and i love thatttt and i always enjoy vibin' to the albums with youuu, gonna come back later and give you the list of exo iconic live stages later after you finish everything, btw the war, tempo and obsession albums are my top three!!

28:47 That's why there is EXO-SC. They do everything themselves so it's really making me sick when I see people discrediting Sehun or Chanyeol when they are one of the most talented human beings on this planet. They rap, produce, compose, write their songs. On top of that are great vocalists.
In EXO group songs the raps aren't that long but that doesn't make the rapline bad.
and tbh when you said that you're having the time of your life I can totally understand that. The War album is such a feel good album and I wish I could listen to it for the first time again 😩
Understand what you're saying but for me I like the fact that their songs are so diverse and all don't sound the same. I like when a group or artist experiments with different sounds and types of genres and concepts. I think that's one of my favorite things about EXO. They've dabbled in everything but country I think lmao I love that. I get what you're saying though and are entitled to your opinion and what you enjoy

- The one you missed on z power medley is “Diamond” not “Forever”. The “forever” live is with “The Eve” which is another great live.

plus (sorry for spamming tho) i also agree with your thoughts abt how they should've been doing the same as the war, this whole time since years ago, cause i feel the same, ofc their discography is great and i dont want to discard any of their songs before, but i think they started to find their sound started from exact album. you are very impressed with the war, and you gonna be amazed with tempo and obsession albums too, cause those has the similar vibes with dont fight the feeling album, the exo sounds that we are talking abt here. that's why the latest 4 albums are my top albums but still the older albums has a special place in my heart and i feel very nostalgic everytime i listen to the older albums

exact was more experimental and full of unique sounds while this album is just a mix of their experimental sounds and also their old sounds, just like you said, a bridge between their newer and older songs.
talking about this album got me so nostalgic lmao because this was the era where they were so active and always performing everywhere, we really took those times for granted

28:47 if you want to hear more of Chanyeol and Sehun's rapping I strongly recommend the Do It Together live stage they did with Xiumin, the flow was something else altogether, it's one of my top 10. Also Chanyeol's solo 'Hands', it's emotional and on another level altogether. I became a fan last yer but I was so happy when I found out SC was a thing cause they finally got to shine and showcase all of their talents
I'm glad you enjoyed this album. It definitely has some of my favorite songs. I agree they found their sound here. Also some of my favorite performances go with these songs. They are in suits for sweet lies. I have been enjoying going through the albums with you. I actually listened to most of them watching performances and listening to songs by recommendations so I didn't even know most of these were on the same album.
I'm still at 6:04 and I can't just stop smiling. I listen to sweet lies maybe like a hundred times now but it feels like this is my first time listening to it. 😅
I’m so glad you’re loving this album so far! And what you said about it being the best of exo’s sound really tracks, because this had been the album they had the most creative control over. In addition to the songs you talked about, Pcy also wrote some of his raps including the iconic Nice Skirt verse; he, Jongdae and Baek wrote Ko Ko Bop, (Except for the title, obviously; that’s from a 1950’s pop song.) and when they were putting the album together the members expressed that they wanted fans to see how passionate they were about the album. And there’s the in-joke that kkb era went on way too damn long, but the fact is this era has some of their best aesthetics AND music! 😍 Fun fact, Kyungsoo’s favorite track off this one was What U Do. ☺️

I always suggest this to reactors who's just discovering EXO coz it's my most favorite song in the whole world. I always listen to the concert performance coz as you know, their live performances are the best.

When I tell you I love this album... ugh, perfect for summer as always, but year round. It's just excellent! I feel you on Sweet Lies. And Forever is my song on this album there is just something about it! Summer of 2017 was great, also, I'm not prepared for Kyungsoo's album on Monday.
You are right about the rappers. I remember the individual fanbases of the rappers actually complained about this to SM. Especially after exact album. Maybe that's why the war and the rest that followed have made them shine. And that's why exo sc was born
