I love going back and watching these videos, the production quality is absolutely astonishing. I don't really know anything about this van, but I enjoyed the video from a creative standpoint, you had some awesome cinematography, and the drone shots were incredibly well done!
Awesome buddy! Thank you!! Going back into the catalog can be interesting! 😁This is truly a great look back. It was super fun to produce, shoot, and edit these videos. Hope all is well! 👊😎
This is really a well made video ! Great shots, good narration, music, the whole concept is really original. There are a lot of boring van tour videos out there and this is not one of them, well done!
Hi Tech Write! What a great start to my day! Thank you so much for the kind words. I aim to please. A collection of everything I do in one place, with a van tour theme. Thank you for watching!
Didn't read this comment before my other comment. Looks like you might have a second calling. Maybe some vanlife resource videos or something. How to's & what not. Not that they haven't been done already, but without all the click bait BS & fake excitement. Just the info you need & how to get the most out of it with a cool relaxed tone & some honesty.
@@joshuawright9852 I hope this is a second calling! I really appreciate the thoughtful honest comment and I can assure you it motivates me to do more. All the best!
Hi wow what a fantastic van and you have so much stuff in the cubbyholes vans of this size are really popular to convert into campers here in Scotland you see them on the roads every day I’m out . One thing tho here in Scotland we probably wouldn’t be aloud to carry a big knife like that in a vehicle we would get arrested if stopped by the police your not aloud to carry a knife of any sort . Any way thanks for sharing have a good week . Cheers Kenny 👍🏴😎
Thanks Valhalla! I would think in Scotland you would be able to carry a big ole William Wallace sword if you wanted to. Or at least a sgian dubh under your kilt. How else do you protect yourself? When seconds count, the police are always minutes away. Be well, and take care! There will be more to come. See you around!
There’s just something about the Econoline that the Transit just can’t beat. The Econoline is pure “American”, brawny, rugged a bit rough around the edges, the Transit is more “European”. I really want one of these Econoline Sportsmobiles for future exploring with my family.
Long live the Econoline! The Transit is definitely not easy on the eyes. The classic Econoline Sportsmobile is the best looking rig and has been my go to exploring partner for years. Thanks for watching this one woolengrappler!
@@addshot that’s for sure! I think as far as looks go it’s the Econoline, Sprinter, Transit, ProMaster and a distant last...the NV! Haha. I like that there are Econolines and SuperDuty Trucks in every town in North America so finding parts and service anywhere in the USA, Canada or Mexico would be a breeze.
@@woolengrappler Haha! The N.V., the worst... So true! I was going to mention that same thing in my reply to you. Common Parts and service by almost any diesel (or gas) mechanic. Good call! I would scout for a low milage 7.3 L diesel Econoline if I were to do it again. Happy trails!
@@addshot yeah that’s what I’m thinking too! A used 7.3l diesel Sportsmobile or convert one ourselves. I’m hoping that in a few years we will be able to save up enough cash and our business will take off so we’ll be able to spend a few months each year on the road as a family. Thanks for sharing these sweet vids!
@@woolengrappler Find the Ford Van you want and have Sportsmobile do the just pop up top. Then you can do the interior yourself. This would be a smart route. I think you have some great things planned and many adventures will be headed your way. Very cool. See you around!
Came here to say pretty much the same thing. Great video, detailed & most importantly honest. Love the chill tone as well along with the scenery/location.
Thanks Shaun! Glad you caught this one! There's nothing like going off grid. I have a pair of folding solar panels I bust out if I am ever in one spot for more than 2-3 days. But typically I am driving off to the next camp destination after waking to a good breakfast and coffee. I remember when I had a truck and camper shell; I told myself I wanted a van. You can't go wrong with a good van!
Hey Jim! I really appreciate you checking out this vid! I sure hope to not have to use this van again as my only shelter. After 7 years, there is another huge wildfire bearing down on us as I type. The Caldor Fire is a few miles up our canyon and burning a little more towards us each day. I have a few recent videos up describing the scene up here. It is just crazy! 🙏🏼 All the best my friend! 😎

@@junglejim5785 I think you’re right. I would seriously kick myself. Even though currently it has been mostly used for picking up building materials, I think the time is right to take the kids overlanding! This van is converted by Sportsmobile. This is the Sportsmobile classic pop top for the Ford Econoline regular body van. I think they still can convert almost any year Econoline van and add the top. Thanks for watching Nuno Costa L!
You are correct Wayne! The last Econoline rolled off the factory floor in 2014. The 6.0L Power Stroke diesel was offered until 2009 in the Ford Econoline vans. This engine may have been in some 2010 models. I am very happy to have one of the last of the diesel Econoline Vans. Thank you so much for your comment and for watching this video! All the best.
Hi Adam! It IS a small tank. Sometimes I do wish it was larger. However, when I know I will be in the back country, I fill up and head out. It is good for two hot showers and some dish washing. If I am next to a water source I can stretched it out and refill if needed. I always have an extra 4 gallon drinking water container that comes with me everywhere and gets used when the tank is empty. Thanks for watching this one!
Hi John E! This van is not for sale. The Ford Econoline is no longer made. You can have a custom fabricated Classic Econoline shell made, but the cost is sky high. Thanks for watching!
@@jon_s How cool John E! I forgot to mention that Sportsmobile will take any used Ford Econoline, convert it, and add a pop top. Nobody was laughing at the preppers when the toilet paper disappeared off the shelves. Everyone should be prepping in some way. You sound like you’re on the right path. All the best!
