The buyer of the property knows who the person is that committed fraud. The buyer is likely in on it.

A system designed to put you through these steps because someone in the “SYSTEM” helped with the process. They prey on the vulnerable and this women is blessed to have family that supported her.

The state of Texas should change the laws concerning listing the property to be private not public

When I was living in Toronto, Canada, there was a couple who went to the UK for six months on a work assignment and when they got back they found out their home had been sold without their knowledge. Now they are fighting in court.

Possibly the owners did not show because they were the ones who also forged the ID.

So the people who illegally took over escaped justice? They just sign off 4:52 and move on to another victim? Why arent law makers taking this seriously?

Why is it so so easy to steal and so so much harder to recover it? Makes no sense ? Something needs to change! I mean a person has to jump through hoops to get it back and person stealling does not?

The state legislature needs to step up and pass laws making it much harder to commit deed fraud. There should also be criminal charges for anyone committing deed fraud.

The title company's and County records Department aren't doing their jobs, they should be held to account.

Any filing for a change in property status should be held pending notification of the owner on record. If the owner says it's a fraud and no go, that should be the end of it... no property transfer or at least a hold on it till it can be sorted out.

Tough the person who bought the property from someone who didn't own is out. Its his responsibility to get his money back. If a title search was done properly and the identity of the seller was properly vetted , there wouldn't be a problem. This is why you get a thumb print.

System needs to change for victims like this. They didn't ask for this. And shouldn't have to go through this. Step up politicians and do something for victims in cases like this or related. Victims shouldn't be paying for anything.

No, politicians need to do something. The people need to press real issues on them to get elected. Not who gets to use what restrooms and dress and act in front of public.

I cannot believe things like this can happen in the U.S.A. by the way, are charges filed against the buyer and seller? The owner loss time and money, fighting in court for their property.

11 months ? When she went to the courthouse to see the judge and found he had left for the day she should have gone back first thing the very next morning , talked to Duty Counsel and sat in the court room until the judge dealt with it .

Poor woman❤❤❤❤ this is absolutely disgusting, the theft and the family having to jump through hoops to get their land back. How couldn’t the police track down the thieves? Surely some info had to be recorded from the “sale of the new owner”….

YOU KIDS SHOULD HAVE BEEN WITH YOUR MOTHER at the beginning of this nonsense, not the END! So the both of you don’t know nor do you have any clues that your mother is 92-years of age! Here what you need to do going forward, don’t ever leave your mother by herself to do ANYTHING ! Move into that house , the both of you, and never leave your 92-year old mother in the house by herself! ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN, if you leave your 92-year old mother ALONE TO FACE THE WORLD BY HERSELF!

Why doesn't the auditors for each county setup an online notification when there is a query about a certain address. I get notifications when my food is ready so it shouldn't be hard to do this.
