If you want longer shots and more forgiveness in your irons, the Ping G730 irons could be a game changer.
Ping new game improvement iron the G730 is built for speed and forgiveness. With a larger head and wider sole it’s high and MOI and easier to hit. A new thinner face allows more flexing for faster speed and distances with the PURFlex design supporting the face on those mishits.
We took the new Ping G730 irons for a spin at The Duke’s Course in St Andrews to see if they are as long and forgiving as Ping say.

How does it compare to the 430's?
I hit both and got fitted in 730s. If I had 430s already though it's not big enough difference to change to these.
I find the ball flight is more penetrating with the G430's and it's a bit higher in flight with the G730's. The G730's are very forgiving and larger to the eye at address and the G430's are slightly smaller in head shape in comparison and have a slightly firmer acoustic.
4* stronger lofts will do it.
I feel like Ping enjoys making ugly game improvement irons. Its almost like they try to make them as ugly as possible. Rest of their iron line up like i530 and blueprint look great. With these 730s and 430s etc, they just say f*** it.
