Good point brother ,the Other day I heard a mainstream media reporter refer to 4 July as the birth of America and the Land alone they never mentioned or hint anything about individual freedom from slavery or such which speaks volumes to me about what the slave masters(colonizers) mindset is about concerning the people in the Land it was clearly about separation from fellow colonizers who had right to control the people(slaves) in America & that's what this 4th of July is all about

FACT, my family doesn’t participate in 4th July and why should we, they saw us as 3/5 of a person. None of or ancestors shedded their chains ⛓️ of enslavement, that day only meant to us was a day off with pay or double overtime pay if you work. I don’t understand why they don’t realize that date holds no significant to us.

There were black slave owners in fact there were a lot of black slave owners.found this information out while researching my own family tree. Check out the rabbit hole it goes pretty deep on this subject
