This conflict is not about land , its about religion.
It was described to me this way. The arabs thought the destruction of Israel in 1948 would be a walk in the park. Obviously, it wasn't. The Arabs lost 4 major wars to a tiny little country.
The arabs have great pride in the islamic colonisation of the lands that are now muslim. The embarrassment in the muslim world was immense.
This conflict is all about the pride of islam

@Kian - most of the so called "European" Jews who built the country came from Eastern European countries where democratic values are not the same as in the West. If you see the early years even prior to the establishment of israel like the kibutzim its eastern Communist not western capitalism.
The difference is that we the Jewish people share a common collective goal so despite socio economic differences that we over come manage to built a real and lasting democracy while the tribal mentality still flourish as you described in the local arab population as in the foreign Arab countries.

I think Arab Israelis are the real key to peace. They can see both sides and need to be the ones who mediate between them.
The majority of Arab Israelis don't want to live under the PA or Hamas.

Well, see it's not that simple! First of all, you control everything about Gaza to this day! Water, Electricity, Deliveries into the country and you've worked closely with the former corrupt government. It was unavoidable that Hamas took over.
If you want peace you would have to find solutions for many different groups:
1. Families who always lived in the west bank and Gaza
2. Refugees that lost their lands and their livelihoods in 1948 and after. (those who are wronged most, and they wouldn't gain enough)
3. Israel would need to enforce a true democracy in Palestine and get rid of those who most likely work with Israel together against their own people.
4. For the long term, there need to be double citizenships on both sides.
I would love nothing more than to be a united country as a one-state solution however I think our cultures could be a problem. The Palestinians are very conservative traditional and like simple things, nature, and family, and want to be mostly free. Israel is a global superpower when it comes to technology and they want to change the lands. Palestinians who live well right now would start living in poverty if they didn't adapt to Israel's culture of driving things forward. This would lead to all sorts of conflicts again. Therefore double citizenships and two governments could be a good solution so that both people don't lose their identity.
@BusterPlanet Yeah Gaza is an issue, however, they won't stop till something changes.
Either they're dead, they can leave this prison, or Israel lets them create their own state in Gaza instead of cutting off their every will to live. I think if peace would be possible it would go through the west bank. And there needs to be a solution for the refugees.
For Gaza, I think Israel would need to change their strategies to help them instead of punishing them. If there was no need for Hamas, people will change their political views.
But if you want radicalization on the Palestinian side all you have to do is to continue traumatization and I know that some Israeli politicians like to force people into radicalization so it will legitimize their actions.

If they didn't like their former corrupt government all they needed to do was to elect a new one that represent them better, and if Hamas is what they came up with they deserve those closed borders.
Still, Israel is not in Gaza, and it left it with infrastructure the Gazans destroyed, the only blame for the closed borders is on the Gazans who attacked it.
All your points were about justice, not peace. You don't need these conditions in order to create a functioning and a free state. Refugees in Israel won't solve your problems, and create more problems for Israel. Why not create a state and take your refugees yourselves?

However, if you are not allowed to build your own electricity or import goods at your own will if you are not allowed to go out and fish or farm on your own lands. Or have the landmass to produce any food on their own. And if you can't leave this place, you are literally in a prison!

Israel pulled out of gaza without co-ordinating with the PLO which resulted in a chaos and a security vacuum which was filled by Hamas.

As a Puerto Rican I get the Arabs. My grandparents were US citizens but their ancestors were under Spain. And in the US, because of my accent I'm usually not considered an American by many Americans including Latinos.
However it's very unlikely that boricuas would ever give up their US citzenship or certain symbols like the flag or Spanish as an official language. So this conflict could be resolved with a confederation with its own flags and languages but united by security and a common citizenship.
It also takes like two or three generations, every son questions their father.
Also as a Puerto Rican I get the Jews because having the opportunity to move to the States out of necessity or curiosity is the law of the USA and they extend it to whomever they want.
I'm raised Catholic but my grandparents told me that I'm Jewish at age 13 and they were simple people from the mountains, they knew neither Judaism nor Zionism but explained that we're originally Jews from Jerusalem.
That's the main thing that survived from our heritage, not the religion but knowing from where we come.

You're right, a two-state solution would not solve any problems. In fact, there have been 3 two-state solutions proposed by Israel giving up more than half their land, and the Arab side outright refused all 3 times. Even the origins of modern Israel was a two-state solution, with the British mandate of Palestine being split into the Jewish state of Israel and the Arab state of Jordan. It has never worked, because the Arb side doesn't actually care about the land, they just want Israel wiped off the map.
Creating a 22nd Arab State out of a lone Israel is an injustice. Carving a 57th Muslim country at the expense of the sole Jewish nation in the world is a crime!

Peace only happens when the other side quits what it is doing...like making war for instance. Apparently Corey and others have no idea what peace means.
See, the difference between Israel attacking with their forces and civilian traumatized suicide attacks, is that you can control what the IDF does, but you can't control civilians to that matter. Even if there was peace you couldn't get rid of all of the attacks until the Palestinian people who were wronged all their lives find peace within themselves.
They would need to forgive and let it all go and start fresh. I don't know what is necessary for that to happen, but I think it needs some major changes in the politics on both sides.
See, Israel for example always punishes the families for the actions of a suicide attacker, that was mostly looking to end his own life, and if he can take down some of those who made him commit suicide in the first place. But instead of looking at what the psychological problem was that let to the attack, Israel decides to punish those who were most likely not involved in any of this and feel the most pain about the given situation. And by destroying the family's homes and livelihoods you create new possible suicide attackers in the future because again you create new traumas.
Of course, also the mass imprisonment of innocent Palestinians, many underages, some in their early teens will most likely create new psychological wounds that can lead to radicalization.
House evictions, land convictions, house demolitions, lethal force on protestors, physically harmed civilians, and many more things lead to those traumas. End those traumas and you can end civilian attacks on both sides.
Peace in the ar ab world means something completly different then in the west. Yemen , syria , sudan, lybia are all "peacefull" in that culture. This is peace in that culture.

In fact, it is palestinian civilians who throw rocks and shoot and stab Israelis just going about their day. As for what you claim Israelis do to be the root of the conflict:
- Israeli troops evict squatters from houses they have no right to, and demolish houses built in land they're not allowed to build in, for example when non-israelis build in certain areas of Judea and Samaria. None of that is wrong, that's just how law is upheld in any country.

They speak with Arabic accent just like many Sephardic/Oriental Jews like me. However, Ashkenazic Jews (and in particular those coming from America) have a terrible accent and mispronounce many letters and words. Given the fact they've had more power in politics since Israel's independence was restored in 1948, the academic and cultural education system has been deeply infuenced by them.
The main examples that I can think of are the letters "het", "waw" and the soft "bet".
Many Sephardic/Oriental Jews from older generation also felt pressed to neglect Arabic language and even modify their names and surnames due to social pressure exerted by the Ashkenazic Jewish elite and the wars with neighbouring states.
However, things have changed since then as we're witnessing a significant expansion of Sephardic/Oriental Jewish cultural and social influence in the fields of politics, finance, arts, literature, academia, tourism, science and technology.
Anyway, in regard to Hebrew and Arabic, there have always been different accents and dialects. Just compare Oriental Jewish Hebrew with Samaritan Hebrew or Lebanese Arabic with Yemenite Arabic. In fact, even within the same country or region, you may find incredibly different accents and dialects.

Their ultimate goal has not changed. They strive to rid the country of Jews. The only thing that has changed is how they intend to achieve that goal. They have realized that they cannot defeat us on the battlefield, so they will fight us with words and smiles instead of guns and rockets.
Israelis, who always feel they have to justify their existence, cannot resist a non-Jew smiling at them. It is an affirmation that "we are OK." Adoni means Alokay which means " my god".
It is because of Christian mistranslations.

Means both My Lord and My Sir.
Just different pronunciation.
Adonai means my Lord, but Adonee means my Sir.
You need to know Hebrew grammar ( nekudot)to understand why.
This is the reason reading a Christian translation of the Bible is the most stupid thing you can do. Either original or at least a Jewish translation. There already is a 2 statsol. Their part is called Jordan.
Logically, Israel will not move for peace genuinely because there is no honest treason for them to do so. (1) The balance of power is substantially in Israel's favor considering that Palestinians lack a military and open economy, (2) that the Israelis enjoy considerable influence within the United States and other Western nations, therefore rendering a favorable sentiment in favor of Israel and (3) that the Israelis control the borders of the Palestinian territories.
Therefore, it is far more reasonable for Israel to not make any concessions for peace or desire peace in general.
