I have not heard of modern calligraphy. It's so pretty. I used to do 'regular' (old?) calligraphy. I addressed all my wedding invitations using it. That was 30+ years ago. This would be nice to address Christmas cards.

To be honest I am not really sure what exactly makes it “modern” and how it’s different from what calligraphy was before so maybe it’s the same thing that did 😉 and that’s a good tip with the wedding invitations and Christmas cards!

I loved it!! I started learning calligraphy in a junior high (8th grade) art class and have dabbled in it since! I’ve even created a few door hangers for people using my calligraphy! I love being expressive with my pen! ❤

This calligraphy is even a profession, in Brazil it was common to hire someone to write invitations or diplomas. The book will be a lovely memory for your child! ❤

Oh absolutely, I am sure there are lots of people that do this for a job. I hope it will be 😊

Hi , I am new to macramé. I have a project to do outdoors - replacement for my swing ( i do not know if I can do it) So my question to you as an expert which cord I should use : size and material - for it to stay longer? could you help me please?

I haven’t done anything for the outdoors yet but my suggestion would be to use maybe synthetic cord rather than cotton (like paracord) so that it won’t get damaged easily by the weather. And I would definitely do a larger size like a 9mm so that it’s sturdy enough.
