Hi Nina, I love your honesty. I love that you value yourself and never push products to sell. It's so true you watch the station and they are always trying to sell a different product. Ib I know this as a fact because I started watching make-up tutorials before I re- married about 6 yrs ago, and I ended up with so many unnecessary products. I love your honesty, your techniques, and how great of a teacher you are. Continue, please. I can hardly wait for your next video.
Up until a couple of weeks ago I always used setting spray for years! But noticed my cheeks stinging when I bought a new one, so stopped using for now. I'll be honest I never thought about the alcohol content, so this was very useful. Thanks Nina 😊
Haha, I was actually wondering the same thing about Nina. I though she either does it off camera or it’s not really essential for setting your makeup. Tbh I subconsciously stopped using my setting spray, prob because Nina doesn’t. Also, that technique that Nina showed us with setting and budge proof makeup honestly does the trick, so there’s no need for me anymore. Awesome and an informative video as always Nina!👏🏽
I'll always be honest with you guys about what I do and don't use and my reasons why :) So glad that my videos have helped you! If you can get a great finish and longevity with less layers then great!
I use the CT Airbrush Flawless setting spray, it contains no alcohol, but it sure does set my make up, even without the alcohol!!! I've tried using it with my mask on and almost no make up transfer on the mask, then I've tried my mask without the setting spray and, yes, make up transfer on it... Sooo at least this setting spray, without alcohol does set the make up very well:)
Thank you! I like how you explain products & applications. I didn't think about setting sprays having alchol in them and I have dry skin and hate to say it but mature dry skin. I'm going to review more of your videos.
Hi Nina, thank you so much for your videos, they're super helpful. Do you have any advice for correcting mistakes or smudging? I particularly have a problem when doing my eyeliner above the lash line. I don't do winged but find that one side sometimes gets thicker than the other, trying to correct it makes it worse, I normally try with a damp cotton bud. I have very thin mature skin around my eyes. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you 💖
New subscriber, thank you Nina. I am learning so much from you. If it is helpful I have learned while researching skincare products for my own sensitive skin that reading the inci list on products is helpful. For example, you mentioned in this video about alcohol content. The higher up in the ingredients list (inci list) the alcohol is the higher the level of alcohol in that product. If alcohol denat is the first ingredient on the list then that means there is a lot of alcohol in there. I totally agree it should be avoided for use on the face if possible 💕
Thank you Nina😊I was so waiting for this video. I definitely getting rid of my setting sprays, didn't know I've been piling alcohol on my sensitive skin.
Have you ever put concealer on, set it with powder then spray a small amount of Mac prep and prime on a brush and dab under the eyes. I feel it helps me
What would you recommend using to set makeup when you sweat off makeup besides setting spray the powder clogs my pores and I sweat causing it to come off 😞
Oily skin gal here, any product advice/recommendations for any products (don’t mean setting spray) whatsoever please. As I’m sick to death of trying, and failing, to find products that will work 😟 Keep the videos coming, I just love them.
so i am 59 and went into a sephora a few weeks ago for the first time and left with over $500 in stuff. i have sensitive skin so i only use ewg safe rated products. they told me absolutely had to have a primer and a setting spray, do i really need them? I bought the ilia blue light setting spray and the ilia priming serum but i also bought the kosas cloud set powder and was wondering if it does the same job as the setting spray?
also and to add to this i also bought kosas plum juicy vegan colloagen probiotic spray serum that i was wondering if could be used as primer or setting spray?
I love your honesty 😍 You are always impartial about the products and don’t try to sell them to us. So refreshing ☺️ I bought some products you are actually using because I was convinced by the result not by lies. Thank you for your videos. What do you think about the Dior backstage foundation? Does it last? 😘
Thank you for your feedback! I'll always be transparent and honest with the products I do and don't use :) I personally love the Dior backstage foundation although in order for it to last you need to set it with powder as I do feel it can sit in lines easily
@@NinaUbhi1 thank you so much for your response. I’m 36 and it’s difficult for me to correctly cover and set make up on my forehead and under eye :( I have mostly wrinkles of expression but still. It’s hard for me to find the good foundation and powder. Thank you one more time for all your amazing advice. ❤️
Currently we’re only available in UAE & UK. We would really appreciate your support to get our lashes into the USA! Hopefully we can launch our lashes in the USA soon! UAE: shorturl.at/mvwKY UK: shorturl.at/moCP3
Hi Nina babe - another fab honest video! 🙌🏽 please may I ask which brand contact lens you wear in your videos and the shade? Because like make up contacts and colours aren’t for everyone either lol! As in the colours but the ones you wear in your most recent last 10 or so vids are absolutely gorgeous and look so lovely on you 🤩 thank you in advance 😘
I'm not aware of any setting sprays that help to avoid sweating however I do have a transfer proof foundation video under my 'foundation' playlist that may help
Another great video Nina!! Thank you for the great advice! I just got the Laura Mercier powder puff thanks to you! You are the best!!! 🤗💖🤩😍💕 Nina, can you please help me? I have dark brown eyes, and I never use color eyeshadows. The most I use is bronzer.. I really like purples, pink, blues and greens but I’m not sure how to apply the colors properly and is it ok to use those colors on mature eyes? Any advice you could provide me with would be greatly appreciated!! 💖💖💖💖
You are so welcome! I love that powder puff! Yes of course, you can use vibrant colors on mature skin, I'll try doing some videos like this soon on my Mom :)
Serums treat specific skin concerns and is part of your skincare regime, whereas primers give you either/and a poreless, smoother, more even canvas ready for your makeup. Primer is there to bridge the gap between skincare and makeup. Whether you need both depends on your skin concerns and how you’d like your makeup sit 😊
I literally ordered two products you recommended cuz I love only using products of skincare or makeup that are good for my skin as well as being vegan cuz that helps since I try to make sure products are halal as well.

On a hunt for non. CT does contain alcohol
Oh thank you! I’ve been waiting for this tutorial/information. I didn’t realize that setting spray can be so drying.

Hi loved this video, was very informative, your makeup is perfect! I was wondering which lashes are you wearing in this video? ❤️
Thank you! These are my own brand lashes; Nina Ubhi cosmetics in ‘Nina’

I’ve tried it and doesn’t hold it in place as well as the current technique I use
What would you recommend using to set makeup when you sweat off makeup besides setting spray the powder clogs my pores and I sweat causing it to come off 😞
Maybe try setting with a lighter powder like MAC mineralize skin finish
@@NinaUbhi1 Thank you :)
Wow u are so amazing and your tutorials is so helpful...I loved this....no more setting spray for me as well😊...Thank u so much for all your advise🙏💯👌

do you think water mix with a bit of toner alcohol free with be a good setting spray?

I’d recommend Sunday Riley Martian Mattifying melting toner and Smashbox mattifying primer. And thanks for watching!

What type of drugstore setting powder do you recommend??
NYX is good :)
Do setting sprays stop sweating? Is there a sweat proof makeup application technique available?

Yesss I recieved one so good!!
If i set my face with powder, do i still need a makeup setting spray?
If the powder works fine then there's no need

This was so informative because I was thinking of buying one but knowing now that they have alcohol . No way.
So based on this video, a spray without alcohol is a finishing spray. Thank you! I have both and I NEEDED the education.
I'm glad you found the information helpful!
