@@SirPraiseSun looks that way or he wouldnt show like that. If he did spar with a competent fighter he probably would get punched and kicked in head/chin. Even someone day 1 in the muay thai gym I go to doesnt punch that badly
Doesn't work in my sparring. Your uke ( the person...) is overcomitting. But, being a naha-te blackbelt for 22 years, I can tell you from master to master, that tora guchi/ mawashi uke is the real reflection of full circle blocks, that tend to follow the recieved arm back in. And that works even in sparring average boxers or WKF competioners.
It is a summer weight keiko-gi (kendo gi) www.e-bogu.com/Light-Weight-Navy-Blue-SUMMER-Kendo-Kendogi-p/dav-ken-kei-summer-navy-all.htm Keiko-gi are longer than karate-gi, and the split is in the back, so I have mine hemmed up and modified to karate-style. Also, the extra length of a keiko-gi is great for martial artists with larger bellies. I picked up the habit of wearing keiko-gi not because of fashion, but because they are designed to provide a little extra cushion when training in armor (bogu-keiko).
i don't see no wing chun here, looks like good ole Okinawan karate to me, and fyi wing chun in itself isn't unique its descent from the Fujian White crane school , which is the chinese connection to the older okinawan schools , since many of the older masters of okinawan Te, travelled in particular to Fujian and learned both the unqiue fujian boxing methods and traiditonal medcine ( Eg Uechi ryu karate traces it roots to fujians white crane and so on)...i.e when it comes to okinawan and chinese schools they are interchangable due to the geographical proximity between okinawa and china. the breathing techniques of Goju ryu and uechi ryu are almost identical to white cranes and so forth.
The “circular block” is very common in Uechi Ryu.
You have control over a inert person who isn't fighting back.
No pressure testing here, how does he know will work against opponents throwing live punches?
