- The first time i heard this, I had tears. Such purity and such beauty in simplicity. This was over 10 years back in Chinmaya Naad Bindu.
Here's Anirudh Sharma and I sharing our joy for this cute birthday song penned by Swami Tejomayananda (Chinmaya Mission).
We've followed it up with a quick tutorial so that next time it's a dear one's birthday, you'll be able to sing this joyous birthday song for them!
Also, in the video, I wanted to say "in one of the ancient most languages, Sanskrit" but instead on camera I said, "mother of all languages, Sanskrit"

This reminded me of my school days. In school, on each day of the week, we used to sing "happy birthday" in different languages - on Monday we sing the English "happy birthday to you", on Tuesday in Malayalam (I'm from Kerala, that's why), on Wednesday in Hindi, on Thursday in Sanskrit and on Friday again English. On Thursdays, for Sanskrit version, we used to sing this song. We loved it. You both sang it very beautifully 💖🔥
