It's a lot to try and take in all at once, but you do an excellent job breaking it down. Gonna take some cliff notes for my own benefit. Can't wait to start playing!
Watch It Played right. I plan on watching that too, soon as I finish this 8 part series. Thanks so much for the quick response, and the videos themselves. Very helpful!
So if a pass is unsuccessful but the scatter is only one inch away from the friendly model and can't be intercepted, does the friendly model still get an option to snap the ball to themselves or to they have to perform an action to do so?
My understanding is that it could then snap-to (as soon as the scatter is resolved). From the rules: "If the ball-marker is placed within [1”] of a model, that model may choose to take possession of the ball-marker; the ball-marker will immediately snap to that model. If each team has one or more models within [1”] of the ball-marker when it is placed, then each model may roll [1D6] and add their base-kick to attempt to gain possession. The model with the highest result gains possession. When two or more models have the highest result, re-roll for those models until one model gains possession. The ball-marker cannot snap to until after a scatter is resolved."
great job with this series of videos! so helpful! You are very articulate and clear. Very professional.
Thanks for the kind words, glad you liked them!
This is the best tutorial I have seen for a miniature game. You just gained a subscriber.
Well thank you kindly Zerolight - glad to have you here!

We also have a full play through you can watch, which will bring everything together.

When you make a pass to a friendly player and succeed in your kick Target Number Test, can the opponent still intercept if they are in the Ball Path?
Nope, the impact of the intervening model is just the -1 modifier. Interceptions only happen on a kick scatter resolution.
Why is the kick distance in inches but the width of the ball path in mm?
Good question. I assume the mm measurement just happens to be because the bases of models are typically measured in mm's.
