I loved watching the show, and I fell in love with Johnny! The whole team is amazing, and I'm sorry to see them go. Good luck to you all in whatever endeavors you take on.
the show IS still on; it just left diy network and moved to Magnolia Network. I spoke with Mark Bowe personally at the Pittsburgh Home & Garden show last week.
My wife and i have been fans of the show from ther very first episode. This wasnt the Beverly Hillbillys this was real mountain men doing their crafts and doing them right with fun along the way and making a lot of friends along the way . Boys yall will be missed . Merry Christmas to all of you , be safe and happy Trails 👣.
I still can't believe the show was cancelled. I found out it was cancelled the same week my husband died, and BWB was his favorite show. Some network needs to pick up the show, and maybe add Karen's team, showing the entire cabin rebuilding process. We miss you guys! Hoping y'all come back on TV or online.
I got to meet Mark in 2018 at his boneyard in White Sulphur Springs. He was genuine and we got to talk one on one for 15 minutes. He said the producers wanted them to get into arguments while filming for entertainment . He told them an absolute NO.
As of March 10th, 2024, I'm watching BWB on its channel, but I'm sure these are all reruns ! It comes on here (NY) at 0400 hrs., or 4AM for those who might want to record it ! If, as a video says, Mark owns the program then I hope the network is paying through the nose to rerun the shows ! At 80 years of age , I'm not looking for a job , I'm a history buff, and this show is like going back in time ! I've learned so much about how my grandfather's original building (1728 ) that we called the summer kitchen served as the first structure , one large room 25 feet square for a 625 square foot space ! It was attached to the main house (1735,) by a single pipe for the single light bulb ! Mark would have loved that ' summer kitchen ' , it was full of old tools that had been saved over two plus centuries ! But now, thanks to BWB , I know what a lot of them were for and how they were used ! So, a big THANK YOU to BWB , your educational objectives have been passed to a man who truly appreciates what you do ! I will continue to watch the programs and if I can make a trip to White Sulphur Springs, you can be sure I'm stopping in ! I build scale models as a hobby and I've started on a log cabin ! I'm using the lessons I've learned from you & your team ! Best regards for your future !!
I loved this show. My ancestors began in Jamestown and in Plymouth Rock and progressed down to SC, AL and on to TN and KY and MS. This show meant the world to me. At 78, I identified with Johnny and his artefact collection and paintings, and just loved the individuality of Mark, Graham and ALL of the men. Their skills amazed me at times! 😢 I wish HGTV would stop canceling the good shows. I hate House Hunters because it's fake in many ways. I want to see solid teams doing great houses, hotels, yards etc and learning from them abt the history of building and planting and planning designs and decor. I also loved the New England shows and now I see one is gone. Please stop ruining your menu!
I for one, am very tired of watching Joanna design one house after another , looking much the same and me wondering just how much of the design materials do the "clients" get to keep after the filming raps??? And really tired of watching Chip eat roaches off the wall...etc.
Superb show , hard work, respect for history , talented people prepared to teach , everything I'm interested in . Got them recorded , mostly . 👍🏴
By canceling Barnwood Builders DIY cancelled the heart of America!!! I loved Mark Bowe and ALL the guys! I am an older lady who grew up in the country, and whose mother came from West Virginia. I looked forward to every single show that was on. I’m still watching every rerun I can. There was nothing like this program. It was real. It was genuine. How sad. However, I would rather see the program gone then to let Hollywood get their ugly claws into Mark Bowe and destroy his beautiful soul. God bless, Mark Bowe, and all the guys for bringing us this wonderful program full of beauty and love. It was so cool to watch the brotherhood and camaraderie between these guys. The show was not just about building beautiful structures in beautiful places. It went much deeper than that to its audience I’m sure. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I believe the show was canceled because the cast was too real. They promoted integrity and this not what the networks want. They want fake drama. Great show, good people but that don't fit what TV is looking for. Welcome to the Media's America.
You're spot on! I met Mark in 2018 at his boneyard and we talked for a while just us two. He said the producers approached him after a few episodes and wanted them to get into arguments while filming. He told them an absolute NO.
I loved this show. It was a real stand out on tv. It was so different from the normal shows. I did not feel it had completed its run. My opinion….poor decision on the part of the network.
I look forward to each episode even if it's a rerun. I admire the whole team and the love they have for each other. Love the laughter. No it hasn't run its course. Stupid network decision. I'm so tired of the bottom line. I never. Got tired see this show. You destroyed the lives income of a family of guys. I'll watch every rerun until you take that away too.
I remember the episode where they built the park building for the park after the flood and another they did one in south Carolina and another in Georgia and the reason i will always remember them is me and my mom watched them on Sunday nights.
I agree with one of the comments saying the networks don't want a show about integrity and a group of guys demonstrating comrodery. Hard to find in the workplace. When I can't sleep which is every night I knew I could always watch them it helped when I had a sad day. I looked forward to marks laugh and when the others joined in.
Such a great show, I lov3d it. That's terrible when they make decisions based on GOD. The show was about love, hardwork and being kind to others Just what The LORD extolls. I learned so much from that show about history, how the puoneers existed. So of course another reason, they don't want history being told. All the statues being taken down, etc. They have gone "woke". What a terrible shame. Maybe if enough of us speak out they'll actually listen!
That was one of my favorite TV shows I was thinking tonight whatever happened to barnwood builders what are saying that they took them off the air you're a bunch of horses asses they put on all these other crappy shows I won't even watch them God bless Mark and his staff they were a great bunch of guys plus the fact that they had the Lord in their heart.
I loved watching the show, and I fell in love with Johnny! The whole team is amazing, and I'm sorry to see them go. Good luck to you all in whatever endeavors you take on.
I like Johnny Jett too

Really like the show and loved watching craftsmen at work doing what they loved.
I loved that show. This years new season was about 50% commericals. That is the reason ratings droped in my opinion.
I believe the show was canceled because the cast was too real. They promoted integrity and this not what the networks want. They want fake drama. Great show, good people but that don't fit what TV is looking for. Welcome to the Media's America.

This is terrible news. We looked forward to shows every week. How come Maine Cabin Masters continues?

Always wondered what happened to him

Thank Chip and Janna Gains for the cancellation. They own Magnolia network now.
Should have canceled fixer upper with the idiotic backward books
👍🇺🇸🌅✌️

It’s a shame really enjoyed the program
Great show. Don’t buy people want drama. MAGA-Ionians may like drama. God fearing REAL Americans don’t.
It's been time to go years ago, Although it was a good show, but stayed on for too long.
