1:21 The reason birds are fine when they touch a electrical wire is because they usually only touch one wire at a time, completing a circuit and preventing the flow of electricity through their bodies. And they’d have to be touching the ground too because the electrical flow always try’s to get to the ground

This is true, I was about to say that an additional reason is that the easiest path for the electricity is through the wire, not the bird. So, when a bird stands of 2 wires at once, the electricity will see a new path, and this path would be the easiest route to get from wire to wire, electrocuting the bird

Birds do not get shot from powerlines because they are not grounded have to be touching the ground or something that is touching the ground at the same time as touching the electrical source to get shocked if you touch an electric fence and get your hand off before you touch the ground, you will not get shocked
