    Just in case you were wondering, watching you reduce is really helpful to beginners. The people who are not interested can skip the parts they don't need.
    Plus I like the talks that you give while you are reducing.
    Thank you Ms D!

    Those two canes might be meh to you, Donna but for some of us they are gorgeous as it. Would love a tutorial on either one! 😘

    Those first canes aren’t meh. They are STUNNING! I LOVE them! I have so many old canes, so I am going to try this planning method.

    Thank you, Donna! This was mindblowing! I have always wanted to make a Kaleidoscope Cane - I tried once that turned into a disaster. But seeing a way to preplan it is GAME-CHANGING! I have so many canes I don't use and I want to try this out! When I get home...right now I am in Chicago celebrating my Mothers's 100th Birthday! This is first on my craft list when I return home! If no one has told you so far today....YOU ARE AN AMAZING Blessing to the World! Love you! - I just started this video over...I am watching it twice! :-)

    OMG that was a fantastic tutorial Donna! 💜 I've never made a cane and to watch how its done was amazing, thank you so very much 😊 one theme running through all the tutorials, is that I'm not using enough clay! Whenever I try something, it's so small and just none descript, I could really do with knowing the amouts at the beginning? I think because im a beginner, I'm too scared of wasting clay! I think, also because I can't just buy big amounts?? Help?

      Hi Tracey! Sorry I'm so late to reply. Yes, it sometimes does take a lot of clay - that's so true. I guess, I would begin by concentrating on Skinner Blends that mix to good colors. In other words, if you blend Green to Red - the mixed extra clay that you don't use will be some dark sort of brown. If you mix Green to Yellow, the left over clay mixed to Lime Green. If you're doing flowers, maybe select your color, let's say Orange and blend it to white. In this way, you have colors remaining that you will probably use and will not be scrap. Much of my background colors are really mixes of a lot of left over blobs of clay - not newly mixed colors but left overs mixed up together. Make sense? I will try to figure out a class on this...Hugs, D

    Hi. I recently started using Kato. I am in love with it on how it holds its shape. But I struggle to cure . Sometimes it becomes shiny and looks like plastic. Could you please make a tutorial on how to cure kato clay perfectly please.

    • @DonnaKatoArt
      @DonnaKatoArt  Рік тому

      This is a very good idea! Yes, at elevated temps the clay turns shiny but, I’ve found I can wipe it off - it’s an ingredient migrating to the surface. You can also lightly sand the surface and that mattes the surface down, too. I texture a lot and then you can’t even see it if it’s happening! I will work on a curing session, though! Thank you for the suggestion. Cheers, Donna
