My wife and I are also in Fajardo these last days of January. Quite a bit more pleasant than New England this time of year. Yes, prices are not low here but we knew this in advance. The Puerto Rican people are lovely and always willing to be helpful. We may go next to Argentina for bargain basement living cost. The $dollar is very strong there now subsequent to their bond default worries and local currency devaluation. Enjoy your travels!
We really love Puerto Rico and its people. You can't beat the warm weather, especially vs. New England this time of year.
Argentina sounds amazing for so many reasons. We have a friend who just went back! We hope to make it there on our travels as well. Happy wandering!
