It was in 2004 that Skoda first introduced a vRS version of the Octavia, powered by a 1.8L turbocharged petrol engine. This car was legendary; it had no real competition, and the performance & dynamics were exemplary. It was that car that started the vRS fan following in India.

This car is a very under appreciated super car.. back in 2003-2005 period when we didn't even know what turbo was it had around 170 bhp.. I have driven V RS once.. could use only till 3rd gear.. effortlessly picks speed.. with remap next level..

In India Skoda is an underrated company.. its only because of its maintenance cost and millage probs.
Sometimes even i think these 2 are more imp .. cz im a vw polo user.😒
Yearly/15000km one service, it costs min 10K for a normal service. then frequent Abs sensor issue( says more accurate) when comes to performance and comfort forget about these😎
So these companies should reduce their maintenance cost atleast in entry level models.. per year 7k is reasonable for indians like me
@@arjuntr4005 I agree. It's not just about Skoda and Volkswagon. German cars are just crap in terms of maintenance compared to their Japanese and Korean counterparts.
I was about to update my Skoda Octavia with the Mercedes Benz C class but it's the same problems with the Benz and BMW as well. Now I am thinking about 3.2 Endeavour.

entry level cars in vw and skoda they are charging same that of premium cars that really makes me sad.
