Such a cool video! Thank you for including the preflight safety chit chat and tower discussions, I found it very informative and entertaining! We do the same thing on the boat before heading out on a fishing trip
Glad you liked the safety bit - We never know how people are going to respond to our videos and we're happy to hear you enjoyed it. I took a look at your channel and you've got some good stuff as well - We love fishing Martin County. Hope school is treating you well and thank you for taking a look at our channel. Maybe we will see you down in Florida sometime.
@@DoubleDawgDare I'll be back home fishing/making more videos this summer. It's hard to fish where there is 2ft of snow up here in south bend, IN. Thanks for the support, sic em dawgs
@@SFROutdoors South Bend, huh? Please tell me you’re not at Notre Dame... I can’t imagine one of the Fighting Irish saying something nice to a couple of Georgia grads.
@@DoubleDawgDare While I'm Stuart raised I have spend a lot of time in Georgia and now here at Notre Dame for school. Who says go Irish and go Dawgs can't exist in the same sentence??
@@SFROutdoors On any day but game day, Kelli and I both wholeheartedly agree. Truth be told, Notre Dame is a fantastic place to get an education, and you've done well for yourself to be able to attend - Nice Work. I'm sure you have a bright future ahead. We hope the weather warms up for you soon! Go Irish and Go Dawgs!
That’s a cool flight. I’ve done marathon for touch and goes but didn’t get off and did Key West a couple of weeks ago. Gotta try lunch next time. I hear they charge $25 but allow you to use an airport shuttle included.
Lunch at Marathon is terrific. I can't recall if we were charged, but I do remember that we got a taxi for transport as the shuttle was not available when we needed it. Still a great time.
Kelli is the video maker, and I (AJ) fly the airplane and generally handle the UA-cam comments. She absolutely deserves all the credit. She does an awesome job! We’re really glad that you like the videos.
Well done sir.! I’ll be Making a similar trip down from MS in the 182. In about a week,! My Folks in Tampa want to be delivered to the keys for fresh Key Lime Pies and Conch Fritters. ATP;CFI/II/MEI, I’Ve flown military aircraft and have worked as a contractor flying in combat zones… but this is the kind of flying that trips my trigger!!
If you're looking for pies and fritters, the keys will surely not disappoint. There's actually an excellent bakery right across the street from the airport for the pies (Sweet Savannah's). Have a wonderful time and thank you for commenting!
@@rockydabull1711 Thanks Rocky. This time of year in South Florida the storms kick up almost daily in the afternoon, especially on the west coast. If you stick to AM flying, you should be in good shape.

@@tonymarks4043 Seems like you know your plane very well. I'm sure if there were a legitimate issue, you'd already be on top of it. Hopefully you don't get any surprises - Best of luck!
That's hilarious. Honestly, I don't have a preference, you've just got to work with what you've got. I do prefer a pen that doesn't leak all over my clothes though.
I found when I took notations in flight the felt tip pen seemed to smudge, smear and drag ink into my other notes. I hated that. The ball point became my go to.

Isn't it hard to fly in to a place like Marathon and not have a Maragarita with lunch? I know it was for me. That's what I always liked about my sailing days, no such thing as 8 hours bottle to throttle 😎😉
Absolutely. All the little islands and beach spots we tend to fly into have that same problem. Still, it's a understandable and worthwhile trade-off. If you're also a sailor, you may like some of our upcoming bareboat sailing videos. We just finished a family sailing trip for a week in the BVI. Those videos should come out in a month or so.
@@DoubleDawgDare For some reason I'm not surprised you're into sailing too. The same things that drew me to flying also drew me into sailing back in the early 2000s. My sailing days are behind me but I will still enjoy your trip to the BVIs. For about 5 years we had a Morgan 32 we docked in Panama City. Mostly coastal cruising from Pensacola to Apalach.
