On this episode of Searching for History, Erin and I visit the Arizona State Capitol and the Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza. With its southwest charm, the Arizona State Capitol is really worth a visit. Within the capitol grounds is the Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza. The memorial plaza contains monuments and statues that represent the rich culture and history of Arizona. A walk through the memorial plaza is a walk through the state’s 19th and 20th century history to today, from its pioneer era, to the Navajo Code Talkers to the recent war on terror.
