Lucas's actor did great in that scene. It was very believeable that i was watching someone die in his arms and both of them were great in that scene. Eddie too

Max's "soul" is definitely in Vecna. He had lines about keeping those he was attacking with him, absorbing them. Eleven was able to restart her bodies heart but it's just an empty husk atm. That seems like what they were hinting at.

I cried when Max and Eddie were dying like "WHY!!!" My family thought I was crazy for crying.

You know, with Nancy slowly upgrading her firepower over the seasons, I cannot express how much, if I can will one scene into existence for season 5, I need to see her in full tactical gear mowing down a horde of demodogs with a machine gun. I love her, she's so fucking badass.
I like they made her use her mind and guns instead of turning her into some unrealistically strong person physically like shows and movies so often do with girls and women now. And they didn't have to make any of the male characters weak in comparison. Everyone has both strengths and weaknesses, in a realistic way.
I think the part that will always continue to get me during Max's death is when Lucas is holding her and she expresses how scared she is. The entire season she wishes she was dead and that it was her who died instead of Billie, and once she's about to die, she realizes just how much she actually didn't want to. She just wanted to be rid of the pain she felt, and to witness her having that realization while it's too late and passing in the arms of someone who made her want to stay... that was it for me 😭😭

That really was a great sequence. Everyone was so badass, and the theme song mixing with the Kate Bush song made it 10x better. This really was one of the best episodes of any Netflix show. Compared to the trash that Netflix has been putting out recently, Stranger Things really does stand out as a piece of art.
@@carl_consumer.of.reality It's amazing Netflix didn't cancel Stranger Things a while ago. Their whole business model seems to be based around doing just one or two seasons of a show that gets headlines and bring in subscribers and then once the subscribers are on the service, drop the shows that brought them in and hope they'll stick around and binge whatever else is there.
@@fakecubed yeah I've been so worried about this! But since the 4th season did so well, I almost breathed a sigh of a relief knowing they would be completely foolish to cancel it before the 5th season. And even if they did, other networks would be falling over eachother to pick it up. I feel a bit more relaxed now with the knowledge that they kinda HAVE to let the 5th season run its course, and then it's done hahah

@@lilpopism Yeah, the only exception to the rule is if a show becomes so popular that it reaches flagship status. Seems like One Piece (live action) achieved that as well and will continue for hopefully a lot of seasons. Netflix isn't very good at picking shows, they kind of just throw everything at the wall and occasionally get lucky.
When Eddie died I ugly cried. When it shows Max “dying” I just lost it. I finally get my shit together and then I’m hit with Dustin talking to Mr Munson and El and Hopper being reunited. I had to pause the show until I stopped crying. This is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. I’ve enjoyed watching this with y’all so much. I can’t wait to watch the final season with y’all!

I think this episode was the hardest I’ve cried watching something. I was already crying over Eddie, so when it then went straight into Max I started sobbing fully out loud lol

The sword Hopper used to kill the Demogorgon is the same sword that Arnold Schwarzenegger used in "Conan the Barbarian". The scene with Nancy in the attic with the shotgun is modeled after Sigourney Weave's character, Ellen Ripley in "Aliens."
Eleven used her powers to shock Max's heart, sort of like a defibrillator machine. Eleven couldn't find Max in The Void because she's in a coma. The theory is that Vecna has a hold of her & possibly will use her as bait in season 5.
I cried when Eddie died it was like 3 pm and tears everywhere 😂 its sad to see this page of the story close but there will be a next chapter

Everytime I've watched the different scenes with Max snd Eddie I ugly cry so bad. First time I watched it was at like 3am when it dropped on Netflix and I had work the next day but I just had to see how it ended. Ended up falling asleep congested and with a headache because of how bad I was crying 😂😭
Eddie saying "I didn't run away this time right" and then Max saying she's not ready to die is what breaks me everytime. For Max, it's because this whole season has been her super depressed and wishing death upon herself. As someone who's dealt with varying severities of depression, and the desiring death part, I related to her so so much, and to see her break down like that terrified when actually faced with death was like, fuck. It really opened my eyes to my own feelings. Anyway, maybe I should watch the video now 😂😭
i feel u so bad. i didn’t have my netflix subscription paid and i stayed up waiting for it to launch and i was looking at spoilers cause i’m stupid and then i saw the scene of eddie and max dying and i cried my ass off until 12 pm and then went to sleep for only an hour bc my headache was so bad LMAO

Hopper's arc this season was so good and so underrated
His arc yes, his storyline in Russia no. It went in circles not one but twice and it only connected to the main plot at the very last moment.
I much prefer Seasons 1 and 4 Hopper to Seasons 2 and 3 Hopper.

Also Eleven always uses her right hand whenever she uses her powers, but when Mike was giving her that speech to fight he was holding her left hand, which she used to attack Vecna, signifying she found strength through him that she didn’t think she had
It was such a good season, the music the story the acting and all the story lines coming together in one combined epic battle, also I do not know if it has been said but Max is still alive though her body is empty, if you remember back we are told that he takes the people he kills and becomes stronger so its clear he took Max into him. What is also amusing is that we all hate Papa but at the end of the day he was 100% right, in the bunker he told here you can't go yet you will not be strong enough because he knew that if One was killing since the last encounter then 11 would not be a match and in end as we seen she was no match for him. Also the season is full of so many Easter eggs like the sword at the end that is actually the original prop sword from the 1982 Conan The Barbarian movie.

I think Max is trapped at Vecna’s house (in his mind). The other murder victims were tied up by vine-tentacles there and he said they were still with him. I think the idea is that Vecna is drawing power from them all still. So El has to figure that out and go rescue Max to return her to her body.
But of course things will presumably get really complicated when the “evil” anti-El branch of the military show up… it’s amazing they didn’t get there in the first two days. The disaster is the perfect public cover if they don’t want to be exposed.
Can’t wait for the final season, though if the writer’s strike continues it may be a LONG wait. 🙁. I hope they reach a good contract soon. 🤞

the first title to season 5 is call The Crawl which means type of scenario in fantasy role-playing games RPG in which heroes navigate a labyrinth environment (a "dungeon"), battling various monsters, avoiding traps, solving puzzles, and looting any treasure they may find.
It's such an incredible ending to a season! I'm so so so excited for season 5, and I certainly don't care if it takes them a while. I just want it to be very good haha!

My favourite part of the Duffer brothers’ writing is how they continually tell us what will happen in episode 1 and we never realize it until the end. In Hellfire club Dustin rolled an 11 and it wasn’t enough to beat Vecna. Such a small detail, such a good Easter egg
but erica then rolled a 20 and defeated him immediately afterwards.
@@amber2080 yes, but 11, as in the character, isn’t enough to beat Vecna. At least on her own. I thought it was an interesting detail, a bit of foreshadowing, the same way they did in season 1 when Will would’ve been taken by the Demagorgon during D&D and then gets taken later that episode.
I mean they could’ve had him roll any other number but 20 and they would’ve lost and they chose 11. They definitely did that on purpose.

Thanks for all of the reactions. I remember several years ago all of the young folks at work would always talk about Stranger Things, they told me that I should watch and I just shrugged it off. Then one day I decided to watch and I couldn't stop watching. The acting was top notch. The same thing with Game of Thrones, can't wait until you start that journey.

It’s the fact that Vecna has been there since season 1. He took Will. Also, the original drawings for the monsters in season 1 included a monster that looks like Vecna.

26:42 yes, Max's mind has been taken, and sucked into Vecna, a fate worse than death. But since Eleven revived her body, even thoe it's an empty shell, if they can defeat Vecna once and for all, then it's possible Max's essence can be freed, and restored to her body.

what a journey it's been!!! as much as i dislike many of the decisions made in this finale, it sets up so much potential for the final season, i hope they stick the landing cause this show is a truly incredible journey and it was lovely to rewatch it with you guys! 💚
One thing to remember is the reason why Eddie basically sacrificed himself was because if he went through the gate then the demon bats was just gonna follow them and now people on the outside world would be getting killed by them so he had to draw them away

My big theory re: Max being “gone” when El checked inside her mind: Max’s consciousness has been absorbed into Vecna, along with all the other teenage victims. They’re all still in there, existing as themselves - but only Max has a living body to return to if she escapes.
So I’m hoping next season will be about Max and the other victims teaming up to weaken Vecna from within, and then escaping so Max can return to her body, and the others can be at peace.
That would be mind blowing… I would love to see more of Eddie…. Then we will get Chrissy, Fred, Patrick, Billy, BARB!!! Maybe the lifeguard girl idk… and possibly Jason. That would be an epic season. Hopefully they go with that lol I’m going to follow their social medias to see if they are doing any filming.

So many emotions went all over the place. I was shocked when my phone went off for part 2. I even joined crying seeing Eddie just like the first 2 times 😭🤧

I always love the subtle foreshadowing that changes the way you watch the 2nd time through. They said it from the beginning, 86' was Eddie's year...to get 86'd.

I feel a little conflicted about eddy’s death, I really like how it was shot and everything it just isn’t super clear that his sacrifice actually made any meaningful difference in the fight with vecna and that just makes it hit slightly less hard bc his sacrifice kinda didnt seem fully necessary
This was without a doubt one of the most metal, hype, intense seasons of TV ever. Topped only by Game of Thrones Season 6. Love this and love you guys. 😊
