This may be the first Christmas anyone has ever spent at this cottage. I’d love to say it’s my first of many but I have a feeling it will be booked the next few years! @workplaytv
I had been waiting for a Christmas shot of the cottage and I was treated to the best outdoor family Christmas video! Under my breath I even wondered what the walkway looked like this time of year and wa la ~ your family is strolling on the water walkway ~ so beautiful! We all had a major laugh at Bauer and T playing, they both were having a blast! You know I love the little cottage/mailbox and I thought to myself, why didn't I send them some miniature trees and Christmas lights to put up on that little cottage! ... Since I only found your channel recently, Merry Christmas 2022 and 2023 now! I enjoyed the tour of the entire two loops of the boardwalk. I was waiting to see Bauer take a plunge into the water - very glad he didn't! He's a little energizer bunny, moves right along, fun to see him grow physicaly and mentally, love his miniature excavating and trucking tools as well as his sound-deadening headphones, and it's great he enjoys helping you, you're good at coordinating that with him and keeping him safe while letting him be involved. I also want to say, since you've been "defensive" about it, I like what you've done by taking thinning and/or removing the trees. I am doing lots of cleanup on my farm; while I hate to remove "habitat", I feel the land always says "thank you, I can breathe again" and I make more space for some of the trees to grow larger and healthier. I will say sometimes it's frustrating for me to do my work slowly - I hire out for the big stuff and do a lot of the cleanup myself (lots of brush hogging) - your videos have helped inspire me to keep moving on. Thank you.

I know your intention to rent and that you have other amazing properties that will become your families adventure, but what a MAGICAL place to spend Christmas with your folks. I love the board walk. You are putting love in to that place, the same as the folks that built it. I have so much respect for how you only take trees down that need to come down, either for safety or to make the place more useful. The view of the lake is much better from the Cabin now. Takes SO long for a Tree to grow but moments for it to be destroyed but you look to how it will be in the future. Wish you and yours all the best for the New Year and many more to come.
Im new to your youtube channel. I live in south western Ontario, Canada. A long time ago, my friend rented a cottage near the lake like yours. We got snowed in with about 5 ft of snow, within a 4-5 hr period. My friends son had to crawl out the kitchen window, which had enough room for him to do so, he went around and dug out the snow to the front door.

Awesome work on the clean up and vegetation removal I’m sure that’s the way the original owners had it but as you know over time it comes back if your not on it all the time. Can’t wait to see how the cleared area takes off in the spring and summer time. Well do 👍

We don’t have much more room for the snow will we do but yeah they have places to put it. We’re not hauling it off because that will cost around $2000.

I’m moving to your area because winter sucks here we are freezing rain and then we got nearly 2 feet of snow and then we got another foot of snow and we got more freezing rain then we got another 8 inches of snow in his just about New Year’s. This is really odd and like I said we’re running out of room to put Snow

You have bought an awesome piece of property. If we lived up there we would want to rent it.
Cool boardwalk...can't believe that Swiss guy did all that work...wonder how long it took him? Can I assume ya'll get eaten alive by mosquitos and deer flies in warmer weather? Ticks? I own 80 acres in Michigan's U.P. near Lake Superior and the insects can some times be a trial. Still.....I would kind of like trying to live up there. Georgia has been my home since I was 15 and our family moved there 53 years ago.
Not much ticks at this property less than 10 all year on myself or dogs, mosquitoes are bad for 1-2 weeks and then gone really. Getting rid of some of the standing water will help with that also

I have been around dogs my whole life and I have owned my dogs for 6 years. I can definitely tell when they are playing or uncomfortable.
