From singing drug dealers to delicious street food, I'm pleasantly surprised by this interesting and seemingly non touristy Portuguese town. Join me on my first day exploring Setúbal.

Funny video! When you told that guy he sang well, I was hoping he would start singing for us. The skinny house in center of road was so interesting! The tile road where all the shops were was amazing and kept up nice. I bet when all those fancy homes were new they were gorgeous. Your "Rocky" made me laugh. 🎠

I have visited Portugal several times in the past as it`s affordable coming from my place, but I have never gone beyond the commonly travelled paths.
I find it fascinating and you`ve given me the motivation to check the back streets next time I visit portugal.

@@RyanThayne so true, unfortunately, most tourists(me included) do choose the commonly used paths and miss out on interesting parts of a country we are visiting.I have subscribed to follow your adventures

Oh my goodness! What an intro!! 👍 And what an ending! 🤣 Good thing you brought your camera out with you on your rest day. Did you ever find out if you could afford that item that caught your eye?
It looked too expensive, so I didn't even ask.
Oh my lord, this was incredible from start to finish! I mean, we're greeted by the Cocaine Crooner right off the bat, so I should have known we were in for an adventure. As you were about to drink from the fountain and said "there is nothing saying not to.." I thought, "my survival instinct begs to differ, sir" 😅 I love that you point out so much interesting things about the architecture that I don't notice until you do! The old buildings are beautiful and the church was stunning! I was fascinated by the churches in Mexico. And I believe that may have been Athena with the owl! She is my favorite goddess and I named my ball python after her 😊 You must have an insatiable curiosity to go into the dark places you explore, haha! Okay, okay, I could leave a comment as long as a novel on how much I enjoyed this, but I will finish up by saying thank you for the Rocky ending because I was gonna be so disappointed if you didn't do it 🤣

I obviously don't know my greek mythology, but with a quick wikipedia read I now know her owls name and it's because of her that we associate owls with wisdom. Thanks for the fun facts. I hope you made it down to the river to see the marina, the beach, the mountains to the west and the beautiful view of the Troia peninsula across the water. Kind of reminds me of Santa Monica bay, my hometown.
The next day I rented a scooter and saw it all! It was a lot of fun.

Thanks! Yeah the next day I found the 3 abandoned ships down by the water and saw some people windsurfing (didn't see any dolphins.) It was a very fun city to explore.
