I never thought I would say, I like Roadmasters. It's something about the way it looks and knowing how reliable Buicks were before the 2000s makes me more interested. Also, it just screams road trip and hiking.
Even for a daily, fix the ac, I’d cam it at least, nice exhaust and bag it and done! Fix the rust of course.
With a 350 that will be fun ! I was a mechanic at a GM dealership when the impala ss came out, and I use to install the shot gun mount and radios in police cars . Some had the small engine and some had the LT1 what a difference! !
All 94-96 Buick B Bodys came with LT1s

I would love to have one of those as a daily with the fake wood paneling on the side. Just throw in a badass sound system and make sure the all the suspension is good and rides comfy and you’re freakin set.
You know, for Christmas, you have to take that out to the woods and strap the biggest tree to it and launch it off snow banks to make it a true Griswold family truckster.
I think the one thing you should do is find some wheels that look good on it. Just add a little modern flare.
Fix the body, fix the windows, put the A/C back in, darker tint, maybe a cam, some exhaust work, a nice set of wheels and tires and ride it out. That thing is a creampuff
I've got a 1995 Caprice wagon that I use to haul a camping trailer in the summer. The trailer is 50 years old and the car is 25 years old. The same stuff goes wrong with all of these B body wagons. The fuel pump and a/c compressor are the main culprits. So far my optispark has not had a problem but I have a spare OEM optispark just in case.
The best part of buying used, is a used vechicle with a folder of receipts lol. Ive had a few where it was from new. Very interesting to read its story. Love the boat. 👍.

I understand you can disconnect the coolant hoses on the throttle body, attach them to each other and pick up a few horsepower (at least on z28's)

True dual cherry bomb glass pack exhaust without any x pipe or h pipe, leave the cats intact, don't change the tune, tail pipes out the back (not dumped). Sounds beautiful! Think 1989 Hastings. When the 4L60 blows in a few years, you know what to do. Turbo LS, 80e, etc.

I had one of these and the chevy equivalent. Sold the chevy 4 years back. SHAME ON ME. It's funny these cars coming to be recognized and ultimate cars. And they are. They check so many boxes for the car driving experience and are built like tanks.
I have a 93 Buick roadmaster wagon with a 94 lt1 drive train. I wish I would have ls swapped it instead. Getting the lt1 tune can be a pain because everyone has gone ls crazy. If you were to ls swap it with a stock 5.3 it would be a upgrade and still get better mpg and hp. Cool pick up enjoy.

Free up the exhaust, fix the ac and drive the wheels off it. I had a 91 Caprice ex state police car that was one of my best rides.
i drive a caprice myself! it's a TBI305/700r4 combo instead of the LT1/4L60 but it runs exactly the way it was designed to run and it's dead reliable. ..... and if I want to do a cheap build in the future I can carb swap a 350 into it without a trans controller. all in all, I'm a fan of the b-body.
my 91 I get 20 mpg on freeway its got the 305 . Looking at the trim I believe it was a woody. actually email has a wood decal kit for under 400. My wood is perfect and car 100% original with 180K Id fix the rust the AC and replace the aftermarket with either OEM or OEM look radio. ALSO forgot the should have factory keyless entry and very simple to program.
Love it I've had three 96 Roadmaster four 93 to 96 Caprices I forget which buttons but two of the buttons on the heater control panel brings you into a different mold where it tells you trans temp, pressure and all kinds of other things I think it has a hundred different things you could check through the heater controls it's only a Roadmaster thing

I have 2 kids myself, i would fix the windows and a/c, fix the rust before it gets too bad, maybe some wheels off of the same era impala ss and run it. I love those b bodies, I've never personally owned one but have riddin in many and you cant beat it. Ultimate sleeper!!!

I would do a 6 speed swap and tune the engine to run lean in 6th gear like in legitstreetcars

I have the same lt1 gen2 engine, cold air kit, good catback exhaust, really helps wake it up, cheap and easy to do, I also have a exhaust cutout. Try it out.
Got that big body Buick. You can fit alot of parts in that thing. I would just fix the AC. This channel has a little something for everyone!!
First thing I would do is fix AC and all the little window issues.give it a once over cleaning then rock it like its a caddy....

Mannn, you woulda danced on the deal I just snagged up few weeks ago lol I picked up an 08 yukon denali 6.2L LS awd luxury everything with 2 TV/DVD remote start, 3in lift kit with 20in oem chrome wheels and brand new 33in mastercraft courser mxt on em FOR FIVE GRAND CASH lol i can yank the motor right now and sell that alone for $6k and throw a cheap 5.3 in it and have a free truck that paid me to own it lol but I like that 420hp/460tqe so I think I'll just keep that L94 in her

A few months ago I saw a Caprice wagon with a 350 diesel, mint condition. Me being a big dummy had never seen one so I started doing a little research but it was gone in a few hours.
Looks like that dealer the previous owner went to was hoping to rip him off... not good! You can always do it cheaper (everyone here already knows that) lol Otherwise, beautiful wagon there! Them old Kingswood wagons for me are beautiful too.
Throw the Impala SS rims on it I also did a turbo 400 swap to my last Roadmaster what's up set of headers and cam I would eat all the stock Foxbody gts up, tons of fun literally. If you were closer to Wisconsin I would sell you my s s rims cheap
What kind of header and cams work the best on the LT1?
About 10 years ago I tried daily driving a 9C1 Caprice.. it only had 100000 miles on it but naw.... Even with gears, tune, and an intake it was still slow lol. Needed an LS swap. And that bloody optispark.... yuck. My air didn't work either and I needed a compressor... the clutch would engage if you hit it but as soon as it disengaged and then tried again it wouldn't grab lol.
I'd just fix the rust and AC and send it. I have a left arm tan because my surburban doesn't have AC. Gotta love Michigan false summers.
You've at least got to put an exhaust on it man. I'd love to have something like this myself.

Take care of the rust, spend a day deep cleaning interior/exterior and maybe slap some cute rims on it and cruise.
The interior is actually super nice as it is, but yeah the rust needs to be fixed before it gets bad
I just checked one of these out like week ago it was like a dark baby blue, nice wheels not stock, all windows worked, ac worked but needed to be recharged, needed a battery and had a flow master on it. Dual pipes. They were asking 1800 for it. It was nice but the dude want to me to trade my 96 Toyota t100 and put 1000 on top? I offered 1500 but he said he wanted my truck and I didnt even say anything about my truck being up for sale nor trade.

I spit out my whiskey when you said “13 MPG” Dude, there was something wrong with that Liberty. They are decent little SUVs. The 3.7 is a pretty solid motor, although it is a bit thirsty. 13 means there’s probably a dirty sensor somewhere.
Well, small lift, super heavy steal wheels and fairly heavy tires, a roof rack that caught a lot of wind, and it had some sort of Diablo tuner shit on it

Fix the AC ($1,000) and definitely get yourself a REAL BUICK GRILLE. What happened to the famous "home plate" air cleaner? Windows are these little plastic "Life Saver" sized disks on a track. Cost a couple of dollars and easy to fix. Good luck. i get about 14 MPG around town in my BREW and 26 on the highway with cruise control.
