The Fender Deluxe Roadhouse is a versatile and hot rodded performance strat that can take you from classic strat tones to scorching hot leads with the Texas Special pickups, active 6 way boost and sleek lines and playability. Damon from Fender UK runs through all the main settings and tones... Fender's Deluxe Roadhouse™ Stratocaster® guitar tears the place down with extra-scorching Strat sound and style. Its three Texas Special™ single-coil pickups are wired for supercharged tonal versatility, with a special V6 rotary switch (disguised as the middle tone knob) that delivers six distinct onboard-preamp tone settings from wiry single-coil to searing lead. The S-1™ switch built into the volume knob bypasses the preamp completely for pure Strat tone.
Other features include a tinted maple neck with "modern C" profile and large '70s-style headstock, 9.5"-radius maple or rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, five-way pickup switch, four-ply aged white pearloid pickguard, three aged white control knobs (master volume/S-1, V6, master tone), and vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge.

I bought the vintage white in 2014, shielded the cavities added a tusq nut and locking tuners, play it every day. I love this guitar.

people don't see the awesome fact that it's a 22 fret Mexican Strat. I've never seen a 22 fret Mexican Strat plus locking tuners and the like that's fucking great

You guys never made a video with the old version of the Deluxe Roadhouse Strat. I don't know about this new version but the old one is fantastic and the Texas Special Pick Ups are hotter and more warm that Standard Strats.
Nice job as always Nevada Music and the UK Fender Guru Damon!!!

I tried one and thought hmmm, not too bad. Not everyone has fat pockets and frankly I believe we hear what we want to hear anyway and players come in all varieties, so i was glad to see this offering from fender...btw, I walked out with a mex telecaster and I am quite pleased with my purchase

Sometimes it looks pink, sometimes yellow. What color is it? I think a rosewood board would mellow out some of the twanginess.

Apparently the USA factory and the Mexican assembly plant are in close proximity to each other, parts are shipped to the southern plant for assembly. Last I heard there were some Mexicans in California, possibly working on guitars. Hmmm

      They are different.
Strats are sexy, have tremolo bar, and are easier to sell, everybody likes them.
Teles are the opposite but necks are similar some has a bit better sustain, if you don't use the whammy bar well they stay in tune better etc. I own both. Strat a bit brighter and tele a bit warmer but doesn't matter nothing than an amp can't handle even maple or not. it's more a taste. I like red strats and teles they always look good.
Special series, delux and custom shop are always nicer, Good luck.

Wow that is some great noodling on a great guitar. I got mine a month ago. Only thing that bugs me about this guitar is the second knob, the least Fender could have done was create a new six position knob. The cheap bastards. Oh well this is a great axe anyway and it blows my American away. I got mine at Musicians Friend for round $430.00. Got a 15% discount.Lovin it.

When CBS bought Fender they thought a large headstock would advertise better on TV.

@Wayfaerer320,its not the guitar dummy! its the player!!! the Americans don't necessarily make better guitars than any other country,Its just that you're biased!! 1. for the money that Fender is asking for some of their supposed better guitars, they can't touch Carvin at all!!! next,I've played this guitar and I happen to think this is one of Fender's better guitars in ANY price range!! So enough with the B.S.,if you like American made instruments just say so. I want the most bang for the buck, and this guitar sure gives me plenty.

Sounds good but the restrictions on what colours are available from fender is beyond idiotic. As the late great Spock would say "This shit ain't logical".

I just bought one of these from sweetwater. Don't care for it at all. I don't like the pickups..and the setup sucks. E string was too close to the edge of fretboard...Thats just my honest opinion. The v6 active thing is ok, but not that big of a deal. I'd just buy a mexican and upgrade to a different set of pickups.

The problem is that once you play an American made Strat any Mexican Strat will sound terrible - I don't care what model it is - Mexican Strats produce bland and flat tones - no life.
Mexican produced Strats are fine guitars and will "do the job," but not a single Mexican Strat I've ever played can hold a candle to an American Strat in the tone department. And to me, poor tone is a deal breaker.

Mexican , strat are amazing and some of them sounds better than MIA strats. Encenada factory has better equipment.
