It was the red pill that almost killed him/gave him a power up. Chocho only gets thin and doesn't get a power up. I haven't seen naruto in a long time and still know this, pay attention.

Did you not hear her explain that she can't use it for combat? When Choji used it, he destroyed Jirobo AND Asuma. When Chocho uses it, she can't even fight. She's just NERFING herself when she uses this form. Pay attention.
Choji was also stronger when he used it the first time. If you were paying attention, you'd realize that ChoCho's Butterfly Mode doesn't give her any buffs yet. All it really does is make her slimmer (and maybe allows her to fly I don't remember). She still needs to train to actually fight with it which is actually a nice way to show her skill with unlocking the power this early in her life without having it make her OP right away. Also, Choji used the red pill to even use it then. If you're able to use Butterfly Mode without pills, you're not in any danger. Choji clearly taught ChoCho how to unlock it without using dangerous substances.
Who remembers when clan members had to work for there clan jutsus
3 years later and the God children have only kept growing more powerful with no struggle and double the filler
5 years later and they've killed off Kurama, destroyed Sasukes special rinnegan, and mungled the story so badly the origional author has came out of retirement to announce a Sasuke based sequel to naruto that come before burrito and that he's just gonna take over all together on burrito
It's safe to assume that the people from the akimichi clan can all do what she does. She even says that she can't use is for combat and it actually weakens her if anything. Plus you're talking about a generation of children born from some of the strongest ninja who have essentially perfected their clans unique techniques. Boruto can be boring at times, but that doesn't mean there isn't any logic put behind it

Allow me to play the devils advocate here, while i cant speak about Neji, i assume you're reffering to Naruto mastering the Rasengan, thus creating Rasen shuriken. The show mentions that the only reason naruto was even capable of learning that was because of his Shadow Clone Jutsu
But she did work for it... the fact that she just said she can’t completely do the justsu and is still training to be able to amp up her strength it means she still has a lot of work to do.

No repercussions? But it doesn't power her up yet. It just makes her slim. If anything, it gets in the way for ChoCho in a fight. Outside of making her slim, it's practically useless until she trains with it. Also, Choji had to use a red pill to even use it before.

Here’s a bit of a thing for people: the Akimichi have 2 main clan jutsu: their expansion jutsu and their caloric control. Caloric control lets them rev up their metabolism and convert all their excess fat into chakara and thus combat power. Cho Cho isn’t at that stage, she mastered the metabolic enhancement but her chakara from it just burns off as wings without enhancing her combat power. She would still need the Pills to use it in a fight since she said it herself her use doesn’t enhance her combat ability.
Choji almost died when he used Butterfly Mode to start because he hadn’t learned proper calorie control AND he had to use the Akimichi secret red pill which burns all your fat into chakara, including vital fats like your brain tissues
TL:DR Cho Cho’s Butterfly Mode burns off her fat but offers no enhanced strength since the ability isn’t finished. If she wanted to fight with it at this stage she’d need the Akimichi pills and thus would need to risk her life

Naruto Shippuden episode 274 around 16:50 minutes, Choza explains that the butterfly transformation is only detrimental if you take the pills. If you transform on your own, you reduce the risk of death tremendously.

People forget so easily what happens if your parent is a legend of course you can learn it easier without as much effort. My parents are accountants and took 18 months to get there cpa I took mine right after college and took all four in the same month and passed it’s a hard exam for many but I had an advantage I grew up with it all around me from a young age i understood the basics of accounting. So I don’t think people should discredit her or any of them just because they learned techniques quickly.

What the heck are you talking about? Goku never trained to go SSJ, it happened over anger, plus Gohan achieved it quite early also, really the only one we saw train to go go SSJ was Vegeta.
