Hello, I was born in the late 1950's and lived at No.2 Marine Parade. It used to be a grand old white house with small tennis court along the side, and big palm trees along the front. My grand parents lived there and we used to play croquet in the front yard. In summer we crossed the road and walked down a steep winding bitumen path to the beach. There was a sole jetty out in the harbour where my father and aunty used to swim and sun bathe. It was a glorious and idylic world from the past. Grand parents later sold and moved to Clifton Rd and then Herne Bay Rd. I loved this area and new it well.
I m sure it changed a lot since then. That's my intention to bring back memories of those who moved on or left the country. Thanks for viewing Ross. Please share and subscribe. Have a great day 😊
My old hood, where I was born and grew up until I came to Australia, I had a Heard and Star run and knew every street in Herne Bay and a lot in the Three Lamps in the sixties, My house was three houses away from Bay Field School on Jervois, Wow thanks for the memories with your video. All the best, Phil.
Grew up in 2 Wolseley Ave, (they destroyed the character of the house) schools were great Kelmarna Ave Marist and Pobsonby St Mary's. 1969-1993. Loved the Gables Pub 🥲.
Kiwis don’t really care about fancy cars, you’ll be surprised to see what millionaires drive in nz, they don’t drive fancy cars but their houses are mansions
Usually the word stunning is used for natural made beautiful locale but I will use it for this man made suburban area too. Simply stunning and serene. Beautiful houses, lush huge trees, green pavements and clean roads. Autumn season currently in NZ right?
Great video of this glorious suburb! And all the music was fab.Can you possibly tell me what the first tune was please? Bless you for posting this. It’s fun to see where the other half live, especially in such a diversely stunning city such as Auckland.Aotearoa you beauty!!
Have any New Zealander have time to ask the government ? why there are no regulations on private market for pricing the basic resources necessary for middle class or for poor people? what is making all the food product companies to increase prices? WHILE YOU THINK it’s all genuine , companies are busy milking extra profits on cost of your pockets . Private companies are just holding the stock for a month or so to increase the demand , and re launching the product with new price tag every time , when the other company see the price increase for the same product , they also play the game of demand and supply. And here we are thinking why everything has doubled or tripled in price in few months 😅, good luck asking for a pay rise coz u can’t afford a loaf of bread for $10. Rich people who can make difference , it’s too cheap for them to talk about this price hike, coz they can afford it 😅, it’s there status at stake if they care about base prices , colonised system fails 😅
You should show all the neighborhoods of newzealand because they are all expensive absolute rip off country there's a saying over there"you don't work to live, you live to work"

Such structures are protected due to their historic significance. They represent an important aspect of our culture.

Wonderful
Something I noticed was how these are meant to be expensive homes, but they're old and the cars outside aren't that fancy!
It’s desirable because of its close proximity to the central city.
I reckon they park their cars inside.
Thanks for watching 🙂
That’s just how they like it the don’t need to compete to the rich world
