I think this PC has some other type of software issue going on causing this type of driver error, I didnt experience any problems like that on my Z790 Asrock build. One bottleneck you had in MW2 using this 8gb version vs the 16 gb version is that it uses more than 8 gb of video memory on 4k, you should be getting 100-120 fps if that was the 16 gb version. While cool the 8GB version has limits the 16 GB resolves but I looks cool. ARC is great in 4k though glad someone tested it like this on youtube.
I got mine 16GB model for $309 USD. That is pretty good. Test it in March when they release the Stable driver with the CPU bottleneck removed. Then it will be pretty close to a 3070.

I would GUESS that if Intel is still committed to ARC, that they are waiting for NVIDIA to flush out all their 30xx GPUs in favor of 40xx, and then sneak up on the midrange graphics market.
I think it really depends on where you are. In Canada, Memory Express has it frequently priced at $430 CAD and the cheapest RTX 3060 12 GB is $520 CAD. Here an A770 is worth it. There are definite scaling issues still.

EposVox has already done a benchmark on that. They slay hard in those scenarios, and the best part is that if all you need is transcoding or encoding, the A380 will do it just as well as the A770, at lest as far as H265 and AV1 go.

Intel can pull it off and I'm sure we'll have some compelling options later during the current gen or next. COVID-19 threw everyone's timing off but I think Intel should come out with something during the odd years between when NVIDIA and AMD clash during the release year of their new generations. Intel can come after NVIDIA and AMD have released their lower end GPUs of the generation and come in with better and lower priced options than the xx60 series (i.e 3060, 4060, etc.) or equivalent AMD series (i.e. 6700, 7700). I cannot see them competing with the xx80s NVIDIAs and equivalent AMDs just yet but if they can come in like AMD did with the RX480/RX580, I think they will do quite well.
Yeah the A770 competes with the 6700XT price range right now and the A750 competes with the 6600 and sometimes the 6600XT but they have a long way to go likely. For most titles the 6700XT blows the A770 out of the water even with 4GB less VRAM. I hope they can progress fast and put out really good cards that force AMD and NVIDIA to decline in sales a lot and make the market more competitive if that's possible instead of 70 and 80 series NVIDIA cards costing so much unlike prior. I know a lot has changed and technology advances and research and building everything costs a lot but still :( I still remember getting my MSI GTX 970 years back for I think $329 but I missed out on the settlement class action rip. Still was an amazing card and lasted me years. Even back then the 980 and 980 ti were less than a 60 and 70 series card nowadays I think at launch price or close.
The 6700XT can be had for between £380-£400 depending on where you look. I think for the sake of an extra £50 it's a better option. But you're right, PC gaming is becoming joke expensive.
If you're laser focused on the high-end, yes it is a joke. Like $1200 GPU for just gaming is absurd imo. But I agree, if we keep this trend, I'd rather switch to Xbox/PS for gaming in the future. Idk the state of gpu market on your place but here, RX 6600 cost around $200.
ok im a bit lost in the fact you have to turn off settings with a new card is the whole point of getting a new GPU is so you DONT have to turn stuff off and enjoy All the game has to offer higher fps but all the cool settings ray tracing and all that is part of gaming not what your looking at if its not then why did we not stop with pac man and space invaders
Personally I'd say that if your budget can stretch to the 3060ti, I would go with that as the difference between the 3060 and 3060ti really is noticeable. Regards the R5 5500, that ok, and at least by being on the AM4 platform you can upgrade it at a later date to perhaps the 5800X3D and then you'll be flying with the big boys!
I said it once and I'll say it again, I want Intel to succeed in this space but it's been months now and the software is still terrible. There just doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency to get things in order. A real shame!
Going into this with the completely wrong mindset my dude. Yes there are software issues, Intel themselves admit that on their own pages for this product. You are definitely being a bit of a beta tester for these GPUs. However, the drivers have come along leaps and bounds. If you're willing to accept some bugs, there could be some VERY interesting performance jumps coming very soon, much like the December 2022 update which improved some DX9 games around 80%+ in FPS. Also the overlay is being swapped out for a nicer interface, confirmed on LTT.
"FPS remained largely unchanged at different resolutions" = Immature drivers. You can't compare drivers for ARC GPUs with intel's integrated offerings over the years. Intel's integrated offerings have been iterative with a few brief deviations (IRIS and IRIS pro) where they had a bit more of an architectural change but even then, the designs were still based on existing silicon. ARC is more comparable to Ryzen when it launched. You could see the potential and the strength of the architecture but it was plagued compatibility issues, bugs and a lack of software optimizations. This is new territory for intel and it's not just on them, the industry will take time to incorporate their architecture specific optimizations. The games that are seen to work well likely optimized for ARC already, at least to some extent while others have little to no optimization for the architecture. Next gen ARC will show significant improvements but you will find many of those improvements will likely trickle down to the current generation in the form of driver optimizations, game optimizations and other improvements on the driver/firmware level. IMO, we may see the current ARC GPU range mature into much more capable GPUs in a year or so. Intel had to compete in the market as it is today, a few decades ago this would have remained in development another 2 - 3 years. People today want the new thing now, they don't want to wait for the kinks to be ironed out or at least catering to those that feel this way doesn't hit the bottom line as much as it used to. We are used to being beta testers for tech these days, hell, 90% of modern games are launched in what used to be considered a beta stage of development, many are not even properly complete until a year or more after launch with patches and DLC.
The drivers are getting better. Intel is really working hard on the drivers.

Yes they will be completely fine.

@@AnitaKumari-eo3no best gpu you can afford, an rx 6800xt or 3070ti or 3080 will pair nicely with 13600k
@@ansCS2 I would advise against all these options depending on country if buying new tbh. At least where I live, the 3080 is almost the same price as the 4070ti, the 6800xt while being a better deal, only has 1 model for a decent price, the 3070ti is almost the same price as the 3080. Im so confused because i want the intel arc 770 and userbenchmark says its average bench is 109 compared to a rtx 3060 thats 100 bench. So which is better for gaming.
Please respond if you can enlighten me

the drivers are hyper complex things to make, patience reqd.
Turns on RT shadows in CP2077 the worse RT 🤦. Should use reflections or the lighting instead.
picked up bifrost a770 for $259 recently. some issues but it's a great deal at that price
I would GUESS that if Intel is still committed to ARC, that they are waiting for NVIDIA to flush out all their 30xx GPUs in favor of 40xx, and then sneak up on the midrange graphics market.
I think this would be a good video to revist with all the price and driver changes.
why dont you just enable the IN Game fps counter
I paid 175 on Amazon for the le intel arc 750. I just need a mobo for my i3 12100f and i will be working on my build.
Great vid! Thank you! Arc seems interesting still 👍
I think it really depends on where you are. In Canada, Memory Express has it frequently priced at $430 CAD and the cheapest RTX 3060 12 GB is $520 CAD. Here an A770 is worth it. There are definite scaling issues still.
Just an FYI, Canada Computers has the a750 8GB for $329.99 CDN.
Modern Warfare has its own statistics for GPU and CPU usage, temp, fps etc.
Sir what about media engines for video editing.
Intel has very good media engines. Can you do Premier pro pudgetbench benchmark test?
Make sure Intel quick sync and arc gpu media engines both are enabled for Premier pro.
EposVox has already done a benchmark on that. They slay hard in those scenarios, and the best part is that if all you need is transcoding or encoding, the A380 will do it just as well as the A770, at lest as far as H265 and AV1 go.
Is that the latest driver??? Please double check...
Have you ever heard of Afterburner?
I would love to see that value competition on the supposed unlocked update
I am more interested in drivers stability, not the features. I personally, once I start the game, configure options that works for me for smooth gameplay, don't ever touch anymore after. I don't even like to watch the fps counter, kinda trigger OCD then for me.
yeah, i turn one on to test and find issues, but... if its on all the time... kinda "why did that drop, was it the card, driver, windows, another app, the game, etc" on and on... mostly its just the games in my exp... regardless of hardware some games are gonna have drops in some places.... funny enough using dxvk can actually mitigate this issue for some titles.... part of why i have used it long before arc was a thing... heh..
What drivers did you use?
If someone buys it for me then it's definitely worth buying. 😂
If you use steam you could use the FPS tracker that steam has.
When you dropped the GPU box it felt like you moved my heart to my throat! 🤗❤😊
With more people having and using these gpu's would probably help with drivers more data to work with and all that
Hey everyone I have a question, I am building a PC with a 13600k and 3090ti and was wondering what surge protector I would need to keep the components safe. Thank you.
A really nice power supply that has overcurrent protection built in along with a surge protector is what i would do
Something probably from Anker
Anker surge protector
Surge protector? You mean extension lead?? If that is what u mean I find belkin is a good option as well as anker
I recommend a good ups i have one on my pc (5800x rx 6600xt), monitor and router 1000va it’s give me plenty of time to power off the pc normally if there is a power outage
My telemetry on my 3060 laptop has RARELY ever worked in the almost two yrs Ive had the PC. Maybe the first month, and one or two random times in random games since then. No matter what I have tried, it almost never works.
Storage Question, do people still install operating system on a separate drive or just use M.2 nowadays for everything
“would make a great UA-cam video” 😂
Thank you for this informative video as a result of your video I purchased Acer Predator OC A-770 16GB DDR6. I just found out that Intel just released today 4080 Arc video driver which greatly improves performance across the board. Perhaps you would consider running the new video driver from Intel and release update to this video? Continued success to you and your channel.
Hey man how do you like it? Any issues?
@@Miley_00 Thankfully no issues whatsoever. I would strongly recommend that you use the latest Intel drivers. Also working with video editing in 4K is exceptionally good. I hope this bit of FYI helps..
In most games with ARC you need full restart, otherwise it will be slower and slower with each major setting/resolution change.
crap
The recording of fps problem is coming from the obs config not bc the arc gpu it's trash!
the drop 😨... ah you got me lmao , from what ive heard about intel so far it has futare potential with the updates they have been giving it
this build or i7-9700k & 2080 & 32GB RAM
Is it better than rx6650XT?
Ever heard of MSI Afterburner. Good for showing FPS....

Hello!
Can someone tell me what name his monitor.
When all else fails, just use the in-game FPS counter. Every esport title will include a toggle for an FPS counter.
That's stupid. Your eyes are the FPS counter - you guys are so driven by numbers. Just enjoy the fucking game.
Guys fraps exists, fraps hardly gives bs
For a 3060 performance but at 3050 price.... I might consider this as an upgrade from my old gt1030
Its more on 3060 ti lvl but yeah I’m thinking the same
Intel will be the go too for affordable gaming. It is getting better.
Warzone should have a built in frame counter in the settings
I'd probably buy one if they supported sr-iov
Please, don't talk like a machine gun.
Intel ARC is fine for 1440p gaming but not at max settings.
The a380 is the cheapest card that can drive 3 4k screens. I don't game. It is the perfect card for my grown-up needs.
ok im a bit lost in the fact you have to turn off settings with a new card is the whole point of getting a new GPU is so you DONT have to turn stuff off and enjoy All the game has to offer higher fps but all the cool settings ray tracing and all that is part of gaming not what your looking at if its not then why did we not stop with pac man and space invaders
Considering you can get some Apple M2 thing for $600 for a full system......
hi i wanted to ask a queston is the amd r5 5500 with rtx 3060 a decent pc in 2023
I would think so
Personally I'd say that if your budget can stretch to the 3060ti, I would go with that as the difference between the 3060 and 3060ti really is noticeable.

Me watching this having just bought a 6700xt: mmm interesting 🧐
Short answer: No
Long answer: No, no, and no

Noted!
It has a 256 bit memory interface 😂😅?
That’s not a lot of interface bandwidth to work with…..😮
"FPS remained largely unchanged at different resolutions" = Immature drivers.
