Hey 👋🏼 Adam, Stacey and boys, I hope you are all doing well. Stacey you love to cook which is awesome. Not many women do these things. You are very unique and energetic ! Fantastic work on your garden and all of those wonderful greens. Between the canning of the beets, freezing of the beet leaves and making several dishes to freeze for your family. You are a wonderful country girl! Take a rest now you’ve done enough! Your making me tired 🥱 😂😂😂
Have a fun weekend with your family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

You can also take the beet tops and use them to make pigggys in a blanket...lol. All it basically is taking a bread dough recipe and taking a small portion of dough shaping them into a log shape. Take a clean beet top and wrapping the dough up in it leaving some dough peeking out the sides. Place in a lightly greased pan, let them raise for 30mins to an hour. Put into pre heated oven 425 for 30 mins or until a golden brown. Or check out some recipe ideas!!
Beautiful garden! U can also use tarps or heavy plastic to cover the garden when u know frost is coming. Helps to stop the leaves from freexing.
Hill up the cabbage, which is basically heaping the dirt up aaround the sides of the cabbage.

So jealous of your fantastic garden. I loved hearing you say that it's an experiment ;-) Every time I plant my garden I say the exact same thing. But it is such a labor of love, isn't it? Working with our beautiful and fertile Earth - There's nothing better!? Oh, except for maybe dumpster diving! HAHAHAHA Much love to you all.

Staci & Adam what a great video, throughly enjoyed it. So glad the winter garden produced. so much. The sausage & burger making, brought back memories, from my younger years. From harvest to the table, is a lot of work, but always worth it. Most folks these days, don't have a clue, how tasty & rewarding it is. Beautiful buck Staci! ❤ Always looking forward to your next video...

When you go to make the sausages grind it three times will make for a less chunky sausage. You should also put the date on the pkg so you know when it was put away. If you cover your plants with clear plastic when you know a frost is coming you can extend the life of the plants.

Brassicas (cabbage, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower) really love the cooler weather. Even cilantro. Celery is a cool weather crop too. It’s a, “cut and come again” crop. Meaning, you can cut off the stalks and it will regrow new stalks.

Once your jars are sealed and have set for 24 hours, make sure that you remove the screw on ring and thoroughly wash your jars before you store them away. Removing the ring helps you make sure that you’re not getting a false seal. If it’s a false seal, it can grow bacteria in the jar and if you eat it can cause illness or death.
If it’s not sealed after 24 hours, you can try to reseal it or pop it in the fridge and eat within a week.

Since you dumpster dive, it should be easy to find pallets to take apart and large sheets of plastic from like furniture stores to build cold frames that will protect your gardens from frost. There's a variety of different kinds you can make as you'll find researching UA-cam. It may be too late now, depending on the weather but something you could have ready for next year's planting.
