I have realised what It was that subtley impressed me about your walks. You seem to be able to casually identify so many summits around you without preparation and have great situational awareness, knowing where you are and so preventing you from being easily lost. Thx for posting. JMO.
I bet your glad you set out in those horrible conditions in the morning, then deservedly reaped the rewards with some amazing views later on Linda, I must admit I was very impressed with the wee cottage 👌 another cracking video, atb Brian 👍
I'm staying in Fort William for a couple of weeks next year and I would like to try and climb one or two of those munros on the fringes of Knoydart. I'd probably use a bike to get up Glen Dessary a bit quicker.
Great change in the weather for you. We never did the Corbett, coming off the munro, very black clouds then thunder & lightning heading in our direction. We made a fast descent, watching the Kilbreck bothy disappear into the mini storm, less than a mile away. We sat in the bottom of the glen, keeping very low and away from one another. Very relieved to see the bad weather suddenly head up a glen and away from us. Save a few kms with mountain bikes, great at the end of the day.
Thanks Rich, I don’t fancy being in the hills in those conditions! I’ve made a speedy descent myself on one occasion when I heard thunder in Glen Spean. Scary stuff. Thanks for watching. 👍🙏
Excellent! Thanks for uploading, Linda. (Another) one (or two for the Corbett) we've still to do - always good to see what it looks like. Spectacular views and awesome videography, as ever! 🏴⛰👍
Hi Linda. Follow up question: Is it possible to camp near car park at end of road Glen Dessarry/Loch Arkaig or is it not permitted or possible? Just thinking with doing the other 3 Munros the following day, for example.
@@nickname6747 yes it is Nick. We camped in the van when we did the 3 but plenty space for tents. The only problem is midges. We noticed quite a few tents pitched higher up the path for that reason. There is a good bothy which we passed on the way back from the 3, A’Chuil but may be busy with cape wrath walkers. Good to pitch up nearby & at least you’ve got an escape to cook. Enjoy. 👍
@@LindaOutdoors yeah . They had the road closed off and made the road surface on the bridge look older . You will have noticed a car park bit. That’s where they had the Hollywood machines parked lol. People use that car park for weddings and stuff now . Yeah but that’s where they filmed it Linda . Great video again by the way 👍👍👍

Thank you. That situational awareness doesn’t always work. I’ve been lost a few times but usually when I’m not in the hills. 😃

Thanks Brian, it unexpectedly brightened up which was fab! Thanks for watching. 👍
Great trip into some really remote country! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Graham, remote & beautiful. Thanks for watching. 👍🙏
Great video I did these mountains but stayed in kilbreck bothy for a night great memories thanks
Thanks Andrew. Glad you enjoyed the video. 👍🙏

Thanks again, Linda 😁
Well done Linda: a tough start but we’ll worth it for the improvement. Atb gordon
Thanks Gordon. 👍
Much easier done from Loch Quoich. Only 4 km climb up a good path. Just paddle across the loch which was what I did in perfect weather.
Yes, I did think about that but unfortunately no experience paddling & no access to a boat. Sounds a much easier route though. 👍
Hi Linda Just found your U tube channel. Very professional beats mine hands down. ATB Paul (FVMC)
Thanks Paul, will check out your channel! Will hopefully see you on a walk at some point too. 👍
Great video, how many Munro’s do you still have to do, me and the wife have 5 to do including the the glen dessary 4
Just 3 to go, hoping to finish this Summer. You’re both nearly there too! Enjoy Glen Dessary. 👍
Those falls at the start are where they filmed rob roy with Liam neeson when they tried to hang him off the bridge
Wow! I didn’t know that. Will need to watch that movie again now. Thanks for watching. 👍
