I always run at the max it'll let me. My boards only have on board flash but you'll learn more that enough with a few mins of log time vs logging all of all the flights

I need to record Accelerometer data at 4khz minimum on the BlackBox however I am limited at 2khz logging rate in betaflight ... do I need to get a different FC to go faster? (My goal is to record the vibrations to find harmonics ) i am currently using a mamba F405
    thx

You can log faster if your Gyro chip supports 8k sampling rate. If a BMI gyro, those limit at 3.2k, however, that will be the ACC rate too, so no harm. Just set the logging rate at 100% and you should get the log at the same rate as the gyro is taking samples.

@@uavtech great thank you! I have another question, i need to record the raw accéléromètre data without any filtering (i need to measure the vibrations up to 4khz and look for harmonic frequency's that could do structural damage) is it possible to record raw data by disabling all the filters in beta flight?

Not sure off the top of my head. I would look at the debug modes in the CLI.

Hey Mark just starting to explore this whole black box thing. I am currently running BF 4.1 at 4K 4K dshot 300. So exactly what should I set my bb hz at? It is currently at the default 1hz.

If I'm not mistaken, black box should be at 2khz if pid is 4khz in order to get to 500. Correct me if I'm wrong but the following will all achieve 500; 8k/8k then bb = 1k, 4k/4k then bb = 2k, 2k/2k then bb = 4k? It was unclear because it seemed like you were talking about 2 different quads, one running 2k/2k the other unknown (assuming 4k/4k)
