I remember being in chat watching Illu get the 1.14 record. Everyone was freaking out that benex was on the same pace and illu was struggling to find the stronghold in a boat. All the pressure on him he went try hard and got it done. Was such a crazy moment watching live
I remember that. IMO the best streamer moments were had at that time.

illumina is like the savior of rsg speedruns nothing interesting happens until he gets a record and than boom rsg becomes popular af again
he's definitely got the world record of most world records beaten in the shortest amount of time
People said Brentilda killed category, but right now the sub 12s and sub 11s are finally coming in quick, only a matter of time before we get another sub 10, then eventually, wr
speaking of getting sub 10s, G4v1ng72 a decently well known runner in the community sadly just choked a one cycle after being on pace for one. But yeah your right i hope someone eventually breaks the world record or atleast get to see another sub 10, so many people have been on pace currently and cant wait what the leaderboards would look like after a month or two from now

@@Shmaiex yea it could’ve been theoretically with the real time from dimension loading and if the dragon pearched right away cuz he made it to the dragon at like 8 minutes pretty much and if it pearched like 10 seconds after, the real time is normally like a minute less ish but let’s say like 30 seconds, still a sub 8

I think a lot of people lose their world record fast , and illumina is so good and gets so many world record it's more statistically likely that he lost a few of them so fast
Also the examples are when someone found a new hack that drastically improves run times after a long lull. Illumina is simply really in touch with the speedrunning community to be the fastest to master the newly discovered hack to get WR.
@@ca-ke9493 I wouldn't say any of that is really true. It's just a weird coincidence. The 13:53 especially, Illumina wasn't even using the strats that everyone was looking at as being so likely to shatter the WR soon. He was still playing no-F3.
i think Illumina's 13.xx no f3 wr is the most impressive and greatest speedrun till date

I watched illumina’s video when it came out, and then seeing TLN’s video not a day later just hurt my soul
This is somewhat a good thing, Ilummina is the spark to the flame that inspires people to improve and get better and higher course, it may be a curse, but it's also a blessing.
Fun fact: there was a hollow knight speedrun battle where two guy had 5 centiseconds difference.
Imagine people try speedrunning the Any Brillance boss and gets a 1 centisecond difference

12:35 this wasn't mentioned in the video, but I think it's important, or at least interesting:
I checked the Brentilda's WR video, and he has like 1m33s difference in the IGT and RTA, however during the run, for nearly 30 seconds he was searching for the Divine travel sheet (can't blame him he didn't prepare it beforehand) and then he paused for another like 30 seconds to calm down a bit when he hit the perfect travel (just imagine the nerves) - I think both of these big pauses are reasonable and acceptable.
1m33s difference sounds pretty controversial, but the "real" difference (the time that really should be considered) between his IGT and RTA is something about 36 seconds, which is for sure more than average, but doesn't sound as controversial as 1:33. The remaining roughly 36 seconds are normal pauses for settings changes plus a lot of micropauses, which is probably the thing that bothers some people.
(but it's just my opinion :)
