    Ah yes, let's use our resources to protect the people that chose to live there, not on the people who wander our streets. This is our society.

      The problem is not the people that live there, it's the real estate that sell the idea of living by the beach, ignoring the potential dangers. And unfortunately, when home owners find out, it's too late and when the gov does offer stipends to move out of the area they refuse and expect the gov to protect them despite potential loss.

    Rich people building homes and resorts in places they never should have then the poor get taxed to death so they can maintain their paradise dwellings. TOTAL BS!!!!

    If they didnt allow buildings so close amd focused on native plants to keep the sediment strong, the baches wouldnt disappear

      Exactly. These people chose to live there, yet the people who were forced out of their home have no choice but to choose the sidewalk.

    Love the phrase "to protect infrastructure;" code for rich people with beachfront homes. What about Micronesia, island nations where HOMES are GONE. Disgusting.
