Mirra should have won in the first set, but emotions let her down. It's forgivable for a 17-year-old in her first final WTA. She's a true warrior and winner. I'll be watching her career.
Took you long enough... lol
great final! both girls are sooo talented! wishing elina a speedy recovery ❤❤
Well done Mirra!! since I saw you play at Wimbledon last year I knew you were going to be big! ❤
the hug between Mirra and Conchita 😢😢😢😢😢
congratulation for both Ladies
very nice embracement between you two
behind every champion there is a Conchita
love youuuuu❤
deeply i am rooting for Mirra because of you
Mirra is very well coached. She is a dream student. Elina needs to improve her serve. She might have won the match in straight sets if her serve had been strong.
Great Job Mirra! Andreeva is deserved the first WTA title.
Haha. Can tell why this is a 250
@@ohgin12345Well, we all start somewhere. No one won a Masters or a Grand Slam from the first matches that they won. It all starts at a lower level and from there they build in order to achieve more.
People are actually predicting Mirra will win Grand Slams!? I guess that's the usual short-attention span nature of people today - a player achieves a modicum of success and everyone's all aboard the hype-train.
Well, I prefer to take a more tempered, realistic approach to things and not buy into any hype.
What's her Slam record? Zero. That's right, so the overwhelming tendency is for things to stay as they are; a girl with zero Slams is likely to remain at zero Slams until the end of her career.
She's not that young, let's not forget and has a game built around retrieving since she has no weapons. Furthermore, her body is not built for retrieving so her fundamental strategy is at odds with her anatomy.
I think Mirra will end her career with no Masters, and zero Slams, and I can't believe I seem to be the one of the only people sensible enough not to buy into the mindless hy
@@Outlandish0 that's the thing. But most importantly, she's not even near say coco gauff
@@Outlandish0 in fact compare her play to even say Zhang qin wen.
Precisely
Mirra's first title at age 17... makes us wonder how many more are to come for this young star.
Well I can see more 250. Not sure about higher
@@ohgin12345Well if you want to be objective, check her stats, she is actually amazing. Her overall stats at this age is far better than other tennis prodigies such as Coco Gauff. Numbers don't lie. You can expect her to win at least one Grand Slam before turning twenty.
You do know Maria Sharapova won her first Grand slam at 17. Just saying
@@harimonting01 oh please. Did you actually watch this match.
She will definitely get trashed by sabelanka if sabelanka was not ill
@@ohgin12345If you jog your memory, you might remember that she beat Sabalenka at the French open
Congratulation to Mirra on the 1st title of her career. Hopefully there will be many more to come.
Let's go Mirra, congratulations!
Mirra is an exciting player to watch. I am thrilled she finally won her first tournament, I hope this is the beginning of a bright career. It’s a 250 tournament, so no need to hype her, but for those who have been following her during the last 2-3 years, we know she is no ordinary player. She is talented, strong physically and mentally, and well coached.
And it's a tournament before the Olympics
Alright,Mirra! You showed resilience again and that's so important in sports
Elina had to play 2 matches yesterday it is not surprising
she could not give her all in the Final today.
she has a wonderful attitude, she will win tournaments soon enough. Congrats to Mirra though.

Congratulations, Mirra! ❤️🎉
Andreeva has a fantastic backhand, if she still works on her forehand, she will not be stopped✌️ Congratulations Mirra⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Congrats to Mirra. I wish Avanesyan would have finished the match and allowed Mirra's first title memory to be with a completed match victory.
As much as I love the fact that Mirra won, I love even more the mutual respect at the net! ... to think - that some other players either don't know whether to shake hands at the net or not or ignore their opponent entirely.
❤❤
That Semifinals being down 5-2 with a 3 match point 40-0 with olga was just incredible comeback and won the match. .
I'm so happy for Mirra. Totally deserved
So happy for Mirra and Conchita 🥹❤️
Get well soon Elina ❤
Mirra has big potential enter top 20 this year
CONGRATULATIONS! Mirra!!!❤❤❤
Congratulations Mirra! 👏🏻🔥
I wish I had been there to see Mirra win her first title. I am #1 in the Mirra Cult. I also love Elina, and she has quietly been progressing in WTA with some fine efforts against quality opponents. Russian ladies tennis is in good hands for the future.
I can see you are not great in tennis.ok
SMH. The comeback wins, no matter how she gets them, is remarkable for Mirra in this tournament. Congratulations to her overall.
Mirra showed such maturity in the way she battled back. She used moonballs, lobs, and drop shots tactically, volleyed skillfully, and didn't get discouraged after losing the first set. Solid.
Massive congratulations to Mirra Andreeva for capturing the first WTA title of your career. You are always the real winner with this championship. Welcome to a new period as of this occassion.
Mirra merecia esto.. Es talentosa, esto le darà confianza.. Lastima la lesion, de la rival.. Mirra tuvo una gran Semana... 👍
2:20 That point!!
Both girls are amazing! Tough match. Congrats Mirra! Keep it up! Good luck for the future! ❤❤❤
It is worth adding a comment to Mirra Andreeva's first WTA title. She is definitely one of those talented female tennis players who can have a significant career. Good luck! Btw. If anyone finds this video in 15 years (It's now 2024), let me know. 😉
Mirra has won her first title at last!A 250 tourny! Now it is time for bigger rewards and top 20 entry!I believe she can do great things!❤❤❤
In that second set both players were utterly exhausted. How Mirra is even going to compete at the olympics is beyond me
It's the only way she can win a title
Tennis is so tough on the body. So many players end up hurt this season so far
because the balls are like shuttlecocks so the rallies are longer
It's 2024 and it is just puzzling why the WTA channel does not have 1080p and higher footage.
Yeah, look at NHL too. Pathetic.
Love both these ladies. They both have great potential, but sad Avanesyan has this many injuries
The first of many titles for this highly talented Russian 17yo, she has lived up to the hype but this was a moderate 250 in terms of overall depth of the field and she would have walked away highly dissapointed if she didnt take this title. There is a large talent base of young Russian & Czechia players emerging that will seriously challenge her over the next few years as they push their way up the ranking but have no doubt Mirra is highly talented and looks likely to win majors, especially on Clay!
First of many for the young diva Mirra
Love them both❤️ sad for Elina
How Andreeva could lose the first set I thought she had it under control 😭. whatever, she made a great effort and had a well-deserved victory.
Happy for Mirra. Good luck at Olympic Games.
As for Elina, she can do much more if not for endless injuries.
❤❤❤ more trophy 🏆 to come Mirra
Why they are still on 720p quality at max? Why?
Congratulations Mirra
Congrats to Mirra!
Congrats to Elina Avanesyan too, she had a great tournament too. To all fairness she had to play 2 matches, - quarterfinal and semifinal the day before, it is not humanly possible to fully recover., WTA should be ashamed.
Mirra Andreeva🐞👑😃❤️🔥
Well done Andreeva. She doesn't tick the WTA DEI boxes, so gets almost ignored. She is forcing her way through though.
MarcoSpeaksBS
@@Raben3721 Slava Cocaini?
She doesn’t get ignored at all. Everybody has been talking about how she downs top 20 players for about a year now. It’s always the people who complain about DEI and race that bring it up the most.
It seems that first set was by volley rules 😂
It’s really painful watching Andreeva’s level of play when she’s under pressure or nervous
It’s a pity that Elina didn’t finish the match and didn’t let Mirra fully enjoy the victory.
Wow, i thought it was ping pong!!!😂
@@anneperry9014 exactly. The level of play is so low. I mean you think it's like tennis between ladies at high school without much training.
This is true .. way to many volleys...Mirra is going to have to stop the volleying ,and lay into it with a flat line hit
no ... gifted is true. she has been pushed and this mean ... to her probably somewhat ok . But not as much as she was betting for in a g. s. final. !!! i hope she can get it. beaut. love you.
No go win Olympic Gold girl and make mother Russia proud.
Very pleased for Mirra, a star of the future. but these moonball rallies on clay really do not reflect well on the WTA.
Well, let's hear it then... what exactly does the WTA rule book say about those rallies?
@@ricklee5845 nothing. Just tells me how low level those ladies are in actual fact
It's the conditions more than anything. Extreme humidity on slow clay is tough to deal with, a young player like Andreeva, no matter how talented just doesn't have the power yet to hit through heavy conditions, her game is a lot quicker and more powerful in lively, warm conditions.
@@wangster7681Completely agree. That's why I mentioned the surface. There are very few WTA players that have the power to play through slow clay like this so I think the WTA needs to try and avoid these surfaces as much as they can or ensure the clay is as fast as possible because those rallies don't look good. They make the women's game look a bit amateurish which of course it isn't. People are always (unfairly) comparing the women's game to the men which is why I think the WTA need to do all they can to make their product look as good as possible.
Avanesian ❤❤❤
What was the reason for Elina to withdraw? trauma?

Mirria serve is so slow. If she wants to win more. She has to improve her serve
Why don't you apply to be her coach?
@@ricklee5845 doesnt take being a coach to notice something so basic
@@deusexmachina9776 Why are you telling me this? Are you by any chance lacking basic reading and comprehension skills?

Great job, Mirra. Will she be as successful as another early bloomer, Coco Gauff.
Disgraceful by avanesyan 😮 she was being taught a lesson and she quit to save the embarrassment of a 6-0 third set”
Elina had to play 2 tough matches yesterday she didn't have anymore to give today.

All top players skipped this tournament.
What a cheat. Retiring just cause your loosing. I had a bet mirria and over 21.5 games refunded. Thanks
Haha. At least you dun lose money . Imagining the players playing on when injured like sabelanka against andreeva and Medvedev against de minaur. Now that's painful
