Principal architect at Architecture Discipline, Akshat Bhatt, discusses his take on the coming together of vernacular and contemporary architecture, at a panel moderated by Australian architect Leone Lorrimer at the Inde Summit 2021. He is joined by renowned names in the field of design - Michael Mossman, Richard Francis-Jones and Goy Zhenru.
Bhatt interprets his own cultural inheritance and speaks about embracing social context, community involvement and circumventing esoteric processes. He goes on to discuss his personal journey and his quest to find dialogue in music as well as architecture.
