- Today in Dragons Dogma 2 news we are going to cover everything we have learned from Capcom event last night where they went a bit more into detail about the game and they released Dragons Dogma 2 Character Creator & Storage which allows you to create your Arisen as well as the Main Pawn and transfer them when the game comes out.

having character creator early is a god send for me gives me ample time to perfect my character, when the game is out im just gonna wanna play and i tend to rush through character creators to play and end up restarting a few times to remake my character. so this again gives me the time to maker my character to my liking
In the first game they let you buy something from a merchant after first play through to fully edit appearance of your arisen and pawn, they probably gonna do that again.
Honestly I feel this is probably the best way to do a "demo" for this game specifically. Itsuno has been acting like a kid on christmas and his present is the reaction of players when they discover something. Its had previews already that had as far as I could find, had 0 complaints with performance and fun factor while playing. Plus it gave us some peaks at how the game will run and what the graphics settings and the like are on PC at least. This is very much a situation of "Do you trust Itsuno or not" and given his behaviour, I'minclinedd to be tentatively optimistic about it.
11:05 they confirmed that once someone dies their body will be sent to a morgue for 1-3 days where you can revive them with a wake stone. If you don’t revive them in that time, they are dead forever in the play through

I spent like 2 hours trying to get rid of the chest scar then realized it has to be on the main character because it’s part of the story 😅
(I’m new to dragon dogma world)
Made all my characters in the character creator minus some tweaking that I know will take place. My plan for release is to play the first hour or so with the four basic vocations before I start/import my proper playthrough.
Creating the character is one thing but I also need to see how they look in the game world itself. Luckily it seems you can save character presets and you use them on new playthroughs, allowing you to perfect your character and your main pawn.
Also you forgot to mention the wenches...
If anything you can change the background under lighting to kinda compare it to different parts of the map. Not ideal yeah but does the job somewhat.
I have to play the first one, but this one is also looking lovely. I love a good ol' midevil setting with an engaging epic. The Witcher I think is growing to be one of my favorite dark fantasy novel series and this game series from Capcom is getting me even more intrigued. 😄

I saw some gameplay that had the Arisen pull out a spear in the middle of a city/town and the guards became hostile to them. Maybe you can be "evil" by enticing them to attack you.
Yeah, I mean technically even in the first game you can get thrown into s dungeon for causing chaos, we shall see how they expanded that here.

True we will have to see, hope they allow us to pull a Fable game, where we can absolutely slaughter a city if we wanted.
A demo friendly company like Capcom refusing to do a gameplay demo is incredibly suspicious.
Tbh it is interesting but my theory is that it's best to use that time to polish the game and making a demo would take away from that development. But we shall see, I hope release will go smoothly
I think it's because of consoles. That 30 fps is going to suck
They just had a bunch of YTers come play the game. No one reported any problems or bugs. I wouldn't worry about the game
@@dalcero7 nah it is a choice nothing more many other Titles gets different modes but is also takes more time so maybe they will wait with a Performance mode to consoles because that was time enough before the release and they didn't want to delay it and one graphics mode is also easier to optimize then 2
@@dalcero7 i honestly don’t mind 30fps as long as it’s either 30fps non stop no dips or 30fps going to 60fps. Kinda sucks that ps5 is kinda out for a while and some companies can’t do 60fps cap. Still excited about the game though

I already spent 4 hours in the character creator and I only made 2 characters so far.
ME almost 6, but im just chilling in between. I love doing it, But im also happy I dont have to do it anymore when the game releases. I can just instandly hop in and play. Good decision from them to release this tool early.

It makes sense to me why' i only can run 4k 30 since i understand why if you look into the ps5 it's compareble to a 2070 and that GPU can't run AAA games at 4k 60 so people complain with out knowing the spec's of the ps5 i will play on pc ofc because i only use my ps5 for exclusive
I think maybe mage in too trickster. Its just so unique too fight with an Incense ball and chain. Conjuring spells from the Incense-smoke.
You do no damage as trickster. If you’re fine with that then maybe you’ll like it.
@@dododog6 That makes it even more interesting. I mean so the pawns need too do all the dmg in that case. I asumed that one or two spells did dmg like the smoke-dragon that comes out from the trickster in some videos. Thank you for answering my post.
@@Whattobecalled You can buff your pawns dmg, but ur spells will barely do dmg. U will mostly profite some cc and utility/disruption for the team.

I tried to do the character creator on my Xbox, no dice, if I’m being honest, I’ll probably just wait till release to do it, I can’t imagine spending more then 30 min to an hour dabbling in my character that no one but i will ever be able to see

How do you use the character creator now?
You just download it from Steam, Xbox or PlayStation store. It's a separate download from the main game so you get it and start it as anything

@@redtsunami326maybe change your pc’s sound options not hostile sorry if I sounded hostile earlier xD but yeah cause I can hear on mine maybe there’s something wrong with other settings on your device? I’ll check again later what I did on mine cause it was clear on my end and the music on mine was not being heard well 😂

Yes, single player only, online connectivity is for pawns if you want from other players but you can switch to offline mode, at least you could in DD1
So the cover of DD2 that’s a Fighter in the middle without a shield right ?, anybody know if we can get rid of shield in DD1 ?
You can unequip the shield by itself in the first game, you’ll likely be able to do the same in the second

Looks more a bad news than great, they justified a way to remove the customization armors for prevent to dress our characters like we want, the most great and best feature in DD are removed for the "modern audience" no thanks lol
*A lot of misinformation is going around about the frame rate for consoles …it was just announced earlier that it will be 60FPS unlocked for consoles and 120 for PC*
Where was this information announced? Because everything I’m reading is still saying 30 on console.
Can you provide the source, at least for the name of the outlet that wrote it's 60 on consoles? Tried to find it as well and that info is nowhere to be found.

Tbh expecting more is kinda you know because a ps5 is as powerful as a 2070 and that GPU can't run AAA games in 4k 60 so expecting a ps5 to do it doesn't make sense when a full 2070 can't do it ofc a ps5 can't aswell
@@XeqtrM1 ure right. But I can live with playing games at less than 4k as long as it's 60fps. I dont think dd2 is offering anything that aims for 60fps while lowering resolution. I don't see why though; ff7 rebirth plays at 60 FPS while managing to look decent enough.
making this game single player was a big mistake, If it had a summon system like elden ring would have made it far better, even if just temporary companionships. People always prefer some sort of multi-player features these days, No npc's will ever give the same immersion as another live person.
I like it's singleplayer tbh, the pawn sharing system is enough but it's a shame they never brought Dragons dogma online to the west, would be interesting to see how it does.
it would be nice to have the option, you could still play alone if you wanted, it would be fun to have a 4 person co-op like helldivers 2 as long as they were level matched somewhat and you disband when desired, or go separete ways and team up with various other players on your way. it would make everything far more random and interesting. They could even add dialogue commands for backup or healing etc. Since the pawns seem to be disposable anyway and can die, it would not change things much at all,@@LastKnownMeal
This game will flop..it will have really bad framerate you should play it on pc or wait for ps5 pro..these dev are lazy they cannot optimize their game
