UA-cam is full of very helpful advice and this video is another example. Fixed my Jeep's problem in a matter of minutes. The connection had come apart when an auto electrician installed a set of cameras but coinciding issues with fobs, alarm and a vehicle service camouflaged the actual problem. THANKS!
Dude, you rock. thanks. I had recently taken the hidden storage compartment out to work on my sub amp, and kind of layed it back in there until i finish a solution i am working on for the subwoofer. However, while it was sitting back in there temporarily, I didn't even think twice that that connector being unplugged would have had that affect. Saved me a trip to Dodge dealer and $. Thanks again.
Hey bro. Thanks for the video. Picked my girls car up from a body shop. They replaced the rear inside panel in the back. Keyless entry was working fine this morning, then didn’t work when we picked it up. Second time this happened. They kept denying they had anything to do with it. Found your video and it was the same damn problem. Took five mins tops. Thanks for saving me so much time, energy, and money.
Thank you!!! I had a lock box installed over TWO YEARS ago when this problem happened! This is a work vehicle, so I just lived with it, until I found your video today. Thank you again, Sir!!!!
2022 Durango used a truck vault... suddenly passive entry not working...thanks to your video able to look, locate, and plug that back in...no overall keyless system alert...just like the misses.... inconvenient passive entry :) a million thanks
Yup you are correct sir. I recently got my rear heater core replaced by the dealer. And sure enough the damn connector was unplugged. Thank you so much you just saved me a bunch of money.
Thank you! I had body work done on my rear wheel well and then my keyless entry wouldn’t work! It made no sense to me until I found your video! Awesome 👏
You’re brilliant. I just had my rear a/c evaporator changed. The mechanic forgot to put that socket back on and he insisted that the problem has nothing to do with the job he did. You saved me money man. Thanks a lot.
THANK YOU! I was so pissed after installing my new center console in my charger, totally flew over my head that i forgot to reconnect that plug, but as soon as i saw it in this video I realized its the same in my car and i repluged it in and everything worked. Life saver!
THANK YOU for posting this ! Just got my truck back after repair for rear end accident and keyless service alert came on right away. Called Repair shop and they told me it was the FOB battery- it is not as the fob works fine- so will share this video with them and hope it is this simple fix. Will let you know!
Got my car back from the dealership after some work was done and I had the same code pop up and done just what you said to do in this video..THANKS you saved me atleast $200 if not more.
This dude was spot on! Had a hitch installed and I guess this connection got undone when they installed the wiring. Saved me time and $$$ of going to the dealership.
Man thank you a lot, you made my day. I was really afraid that I wouldn't be able to use my keyless option in my car unless I spend so much money for fixing it. Thank you again I am really grateful for you.
Bro Thankyou I mean it Thankyou you really saved me the money and headache mines was disconnected somehow I’m buying batteries thinking the key fob was dying smh
Damn I'm glad I was persistent enough to keep looking for about two hours until I found your video. I recently had the back all apart cleaning up water underneath from my dod's water bowl splashing about and remembered something that I thought might still be unhooked and sure enough, BAM there it was. Soon as I hooked it back up, the push button worked like before! Way Cool Bro! Many Thanks!
Hahaha that awesome glad I could help ! I’m sure it was a headache at first trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with it ! Glad you fix that issue ! And thanks
Yeah .. I found out to change the headlight you just untwist a cap over the front tires, this is after I started unscrewing engine parts trying to them lol
@@3cgbreeze918 man sorry to hear that bro , I know must be frustrating.. I would try with a small screw driver or a skinny pin type tool see if you can release the lock that holds the wire in place to the connector and go from there if it’s able to be saved . If not and you have enough wire still take a picture to remember the way they are in place now before taking them fully off and see if you can order in a new connector that’s the same and re-strip the wire and connect to the new connector
Thank you very much!! Had recent shop work done on the rear end and it’s very possible they left it undone because mine was also like this. Either that or it pulled on its own, but it’s fixed now thanks to you!
Thanks buddy!!!! I was working on installing a sub in the back and totally forgot to plug that in when I put it back together!!! Good and helpful video!! Thanks again!!!
Thank you Thank you Thank you. I did trailer wiring and disconnected that. To access under the panel. I wouldn't have thought about that until this video 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I don’t know how to thank you l buy the car like that and when i see your video i went to my car and i pot it back and its working now thank you from IRAQ
You my dear young man are GENIUS!! I bought my daughter and her husband a 2018 Jeep Latitude Plus so they can be safe traveling with my grandson. Well the same thing happened thankfully they were at my home so I gave them my car that I don’t drive, like my Terrain lol. Anywho where do I find that connector I’m guessing I’m going to look in the back or maybe not any clue or even what it’s called? Bless you!!
ARMY PROUD hey sorry for the late response but yes in my durango it was located in the back side of it . Under the trunk compartment had to pop off a few clips and it was a wire I believe for the hatch to open but I’m not sure the name
Thanks for the info/video. This hasn't worked since we bought or '14 Durango used 2 1/2 yrs ago and now it's fixed! Looks like it was never plugged in at the factory.
I have the same problem with my 2014 Durango. I was rear-ended and just got her back from the body shop. Your video helped me a lot, checked it out and the connectors have been burned. I guess I have to take it back to the body shop.
Thanks ✌🏽 Mine is not detecting the FOB. I took a quick peek and it looks connected but I’m going to check it in the daylight to make sure it isn’t corroded. Very helpful for other.
Your welcome no problem.. yea I would start with the basics first because the dealer will always try to sell you something and everything is expensive there . But hope it works for you as well !
No wonder!! When I got some electric cut outs installed on my 2020 Durango at the shop they must’ve disconnected it and forgot to put it back because they had ran some wiring through there. Right on bro
Drew392 I know man right on, who would of thought the damn thing would be in the rear of the vehicle. You would think it would of been under the hood somewhere.
Thanks for the video bro, this problem just popped up on my dash. My head rest deployed on me without warning and not the keyless service. I wonder if they’re connected?
Many people are having various key fob issues. My wife and I have been having on going issues with both of ours. I have tested our batteries, tried various other things and usually get the "not detected" message. Today however, I got the "service keyless system" so I will check for something unplugged. Thanks!
Rocky Cook awesome hopefully my video was a help and or answer to your issue ! But yes it sucks having that issue and having to continue to pull your key out ever time
Finally fixed both of our key fobs without going to the Dealer. I went and had the car battery tested and learned it needed replaced and also went ahead and replaced both cell batteries in both key fobs despite them testing good with a multimeter. Those things made everything work now like a Charm!
Bro I’m having trouble with my 2015 Durango headlights. That little strip of light towards the bottom of the headlight won’t turn on. Would you know what would cause that?

Thank you! I removed the storage bin under my grand cherokee's trunk and didn't think the little sensor I had to remove would cause this problem!
Thanks Man! This video helped me fix my Dodge as i was facing the same problems! Great help! Haseeb khan from Dubai

How did you pop that part up?
Do you what the little box is called that it plugs into? Went to check mine and the plug I completely snapped off..
Hmm not sure if the technical name the dealer may call it but if your referring to the connector i usually looked them up by male or female connector
