i’m from kentucky, tornadoes happened often in the last year or two. i was almost killed by one last december. it was a world record tornado that crossed over 4 states. still recovering from the ptsd cause by it. i was unable to seek shelter because i was on a bus(greyhound) coming come from north carolina. i just had to sit there and hope i got home alive. the bus was kinda being pushed from how strong the winds were. i was petrified.

#5 is how it was here in Colorado this last year, I think the 29th of December we had 100+mph winds and small brush fire started and within minutes it exploded tearing thru Boulder and Superior taking while neighborhoods and people didn't have enough time to grab anything, barely had enough time to get themselves, their kids and animals if they had them, out before their house went up in flames it was insane

I grewup in Santa Clarita fires in the 70's I think were scarier because we didn't have the technology like we have now. We lived in a valley with mountains all around our house with only 2 ways in and out of the valley. Every summer the mountains would be on fire. I can honestly say I know exactly what this family is going through. FYI: I also remember the Northridge earthquake. That quake was nothing like I've ever been through.

I grew up in Merced in the 70's. I remember those fires! I remember the quake too. Once we had some pretty big tremors and the brand new China set my mom had gotten with S & H green stamps fell out of the China hutch and smashed. Every. Single. Piece. 😂 Wasn't too funny at the time though. She had it one week.

The tick fire actually was scary. I was grounded, and i hear loads of helicopters and smell smoke. I walk outside, my uncle, and mother were out there, staring at the gigantic cloud of smoke. We evacuated at 3 in the morning, as a Sheriff's officer came in front of the neighborhood, and with his PA, says to evacuate the area. My neighbors did not even know what was happening. We went just a mile away, but a day later, the place was still closed, so we drove to LA. It was scary. The pros of that event was that School got cancelled. A con was that a friend of my sister's house was burnt down.
